• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trouble with wifes RS-S

I have two things 1.Did you change the spark plug wires? If not change them to BajaRon spark plug wire. 2. I had a problem like that, ran great over 3,500 RPMs but when my 2011 RS-S SE5 went below that or a idle it would stop running. It was the map sensor. That's IMHO. Mike

    Pricing question

Ron, When I bought my 2011 RS-S SE5 listed for $19,660.00 + tags, tax, setup, and delivery $940 + extras (helmets, ext. warranty 3 yrs., two GPS holders, covers, and other stuff) the total $3,625.00. The MSRP total was $24,225.00. I gave $20,000 cash. That was in July of 2011. Mike

    Air Filter Replacement

Mike, :agree: If you want more air in your engine take your rubber tubes out of the front of the air box and get a K&N filter. Now you get cooler air from the in front of the engine. That will get more cool air to the throttle bodies than they can uses. That's IMHO. Mike

    Good Deal on Oil?

That's a great price for a full synthetic motorcycle oil and has the API SL and JASO MA-2 ratings. They also have it in 10W-40 that's what I would use. I read some that was tested after 8,000 miles and the oil was still in good shape, I would not go more than that in any motorcycle with a V-Twin...

    Ride On ?

I read that Ride On doesn't work all the time. I use a plugs kit (few different kinds of plugs) kit, a can of fix a flat, and a small compressor. It has always worked in the past. That's IMHO. Mike

    Performance upgrades

I did some things that helped performance on my 2011 RS-S SE5. 1. Installed BajaRon spark plugs and wires. 2. Mods. to air box, the rubber inlet tubes I cut about 1/3 of tubes off the front (back to the first rib). The part of the tubes on the inside of the air box, on the bottom of the tubes...

Looking for after market muffler and shocks for 2013 RS Spyder

The instructions to adjust you shock springs are in the Operators Guide on page 48. This is not done right it can cause poor handing. It's not as easy as on my 2011 RS-S SE5. BRP changed from a cam adjuster to locking rings adjuster. You might want to have the dealer tech to show you the first...

    Water leaks

:agree: Use as little water when washing a Spyder. They don't like to be hosed down and don't start them up when wet. Mike

    Rear Tire on the RT-S

The same with me on two wheelers. The biggest problem with the RT's is that their heaver than the RS's and use the same rubber compound. My friend of mine has a 2011 RT LTD and got about over 15,000 on his rear tire and has over 23,000 on the fronts. I check his rear tire for correct alignment...
