• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Strange thing happening...

OK, this is weird and I am curious to see if anyone else is having this issue... I have a '13 STS SE5, I have noticed that my license plate is being bent. I know that I have not backed into anything, nothing has been thrown up by the rear tire. The tag is in the stock location on the rear fender...

Headed to Lexington VA. Blueridge Mountains. Questions

:agree: with JayBros, I81 is fine as long as you do not mind riding along with 50 to 60% truck traffic. Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway are much more scenic and normally not congested, also more curvy!! Ride safe and have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

    Akrapovic exhaust

NSPYTE, My 2013 STS SE5 is bone stock and when I crack the throttle hard in first gear I too get a split second bog, then it "catches up" and takes off like a screaming banshee. This only happens in 1st gear! From any other gear if I roll on the throttle hard it takes off in a hurry!! But from...

    Question About My Helmet

newbert, I think it should be "pinlock", which consists of 2 tabs (pins) on the inside of the face shield, to which you can attach various tinted or not pieces to the inside of the clear face shield. These are to help with visibility because of sun, and some help with fogging. I have yet to...

    Bajaron Sway Bar

The dealer that installed my BajaRon sway bar and links took just over one hour. Labor charge was for 1 hour. You will very pleased with the result! In my case, I thought it was a different machine, handles so much better!!!!!:yes:

2014 ST-L Fuel Vapor Smell and Drip from Canister Vent

I have the gas odor issue with my 2013 STS, no dripping though, but odor is real heavy especially when I fill the tank and go directly back home. I read a couple of threads here that were about BRP issued a Tech Bulletin about the purge valve not functioning properly and replacing same. I don't...

    Considering a Leftover ST-S: Questions

I love my '13 STS SE5!!!! I was not comfortable on the F3, feet forward position was not good for me. I would say your comfort is the primary deciding factor! Both engines are very reliable, the V-twin uses a bit of oil between changes, this is mainly because it is a higher revving engine than...

Considering Purchasing a Spyder - A Few Questions?

Newbert, welcome to SpyderLovers!!!! Lots of info here, and lots of folks willing to help you!! My advice is fairly simple, choose the model Spyder you want by the seat of your pants, if you are not comfortable you will hate the ride and you will have invested a lot of money in a dust catcher...

    Seen it I think..

rkba101, Sorry, I just saw your question. The side panels and labor were paid for by BRP. BRP allows the dealer 3/4 hr. labor which is plenty of time for a Spyder mechanic to replace the side panels. Total cost to me $0.00, and the time to and from the dealer and labor time waiting, no money...

    First Ride of the Season

I'm glad to hear you Tundra dwellers are finally thawing out enough to get out and ride. We have had a unusually mild Winter, I have been riding mostly all winter!!! The longest period that my Spyder sat was 2 weeks back in January.:yes::yes: Y'all ride safe out there!!!!!!:thumbup:

    Seen it I think..

The swap out of the 2013 ST side panels for 2014 ST side panels is NOT a recall!!!! It is a Goodwill bulletin from BRP. An authorized BRP/ Spyder dealer has to call BRP to order replacement panels, it takes 2 weeks approximately to get the parts. This a no charge to the Spyder owner, and BRP...

    Tire pressures

ArnieR, the 998 is by design a high reving engine so don't be afraid of the RPM's!!! I usually do not shift until 6,000 - 6,500 RPM, so the RPM's do not drop below 5,000 RPM after the shift. Have some fun with it, try some 8,500 RPM shifts and stay in it, the engine loves it!!!!! Of course you...
