• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    No oil in gearbox

I would talk to a dealer right away, even if it occured after warranty expired. If it is not due to wear, missuse, lack of service etc, but rather an issue due to the OEM assembly/delivery, then I would EXPECT it to be taken on good will. That's my expectations, I got no factual insight...

    Love Bugs

That sounds pretty horrible aswell! :O No extreme bug issues where I live thankfully, but we had snow just a week ago, so I guess the lack of bugs is balanced by the extremely short bike-season :)

    Love Bugs

Reading about them, I am happy to live in a place that is love bug free. Clouds of nasty insects that explode in corrosive acid upon impact, ouch! EWWW! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB8ns7gGFJs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xpEnQ8FiWY

    Spyder - Monstertruck edition

There is a thread in the Ryker section about raising the suspension. I just found this raised Spyder, but I thought it deserves a thread of it's own :D "31" UTV tires and wheels , 8" suspension travel through Fox Float racing suspension." according to Its craigslist ad. Not sure if I am allowed...

How many ride a Spyder with no warranty?

I am not sure if it's possible to buy the extended warranty where I live. It is interesting though, Before buying the Ryker and Reading on these forums, I had never even Heard of buying extended warranty. Personally I would never pay extra for such a warranty/Insurance. I prefer to just save up...

Ryker - longer shocks for the front

Following this with great interest :) I would also like to have one or two inches more ground clearance when driving on gravel roads.

    The Ryker trip-report!

Finally a day with some nice weather! Went out on a little 100km/62mile trip on country roads just to enjoy and relax. :)

    Yamaha nailed it!

It's pretty cool :) Also looking forward to when/if Honda release their Neowing. Similar concept, but with the front suspension more similar to Spyder/Ryker. And front wheels a bit more spaced apart, so something inbetween a Nyken and a Spyder. Really cool concept I think...

    CVT belt life

Just for reference, based on RykerUSA's statement that the top needs to be tilted for Engine and CVT access. I found a video showing the steps, it doesnt look too complicated :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mktcr29nDZQ&fbclid=IwAR2OvJzfukKXwGI1hvd-wB6E9TZvnu44ANHPIbtBclxnWUA4u8X8iDP-qLY Hope...

    Got my new spyder

Congrats and Wellcome! :) I had the same feeling with my Ryker. And what is even better is that it gets better over time!!! As I get more miles with it, I get more Confident and relaxed, and as I've stopped tensioning my muscles and "fighting" the bike, it runs even better, and I have even more...

    Better tires

Personally, just based on my riding, I cant judge if my Kenda tires are worse than any option. All I know is that Kendas are not well liked on this forum. However, they are also quite expensive if I buy one from my BRP dealer. While car tires in the dimension of the rear tire are rather cheap...

top speed of the Ryker 900

Nice! I've been up at 160 kmh, acceleration is still good, so with some adjustments/tuning to the CVT a higher top speed should be possible at least from Power perspective. Anyone know what parts are available to tune the CVT? I'd figure a lot of people driving snowmobiles have been tuning their...

    Better tires

For the rear tire there are a lot of car tires, with standard dimension to choose from. I will just get a tire from any well known quality manufacturer, and Im quite sure it will be far better than the Kenda. For the front tires on the other hand, I have not found any good options. All Ive...

    CVT belt life

Thanks for sharing. Does anyone know, is the transmission service indicator diagnosed via the software (ie measured vechicle speed compared to Engine RPMs or so)? Or is it just triggered by miles traveled? What did you have to do to access and service the CVT? Did you need to raise the...

    Drive belt

I dont know the avarage milage/year, but my guess would be that most people who drive their Rykers do so recreationally on weekends etc. So the 12000 miles on avarage would last how long? 3-4 years maybe? Again, this is my personal opinion, but the belt cost/year really does not seem like a big...

Is the oem drive belt carbon fiber

Ive only seen a few posts saying that the belt looks great after 12000 miles. I guess we'll have to wait and see when there is more statistics and feedback. As Chris says, the Life expectancy of the belt surely depends a lot on how you drive it, and my guess is that BRP has applied a lot of...
