• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just finished fender delete, license plate relocator side mount bracket setup!

It sure makes the rear of the spyder look cool! :)

    Is this the first Spyder

Cool find, thanks for sharing! 84mpg, not bad fuel milage! It looks really cool, but the suspension looks a bit too hard core for my butt :)

    New Luggage

you went from one great set up, to another great set up. Looks awesome! The new bracket also looks a lot more heavy duty than the previous version. :)

    Ryker Knock Off

Interesting, found conflicting info! Studying the pictures they got disc brakes, but at the same time they claim front drum brakes on the same website. Perhaps not the most important factor here, but still it does not exactly boost the confidence in the product and brand when such basic data is...

Puddle of oil on the ground.

This autumn I went to the dealer for the first service after 12 months. A week or so later I checked the oil level (with the correct method ofc) and found that it was over filled by about half a quart. Instantly I called the service manager and explained the situation, and they said it was no...

    Where is everybody?

I lurk on the forums each day, and make sure to visit the Ryker in the garage each day as well. But soon the spring is here, as soon as it is warmer than 5C / 41F and no snow/ice on the roads I will bring her back out :) Once the cold climate ryker riders are out of hibernation Im sure this...

    Ryker Knock Off

Hardly a competitor for Ryker. The Ryker is afterall a quite high performing trike in the premium segment, while this looks to be bordering close to the toy segment. It may have some uses as a relatively cheap transport for commuting at low speeds etc. Not anything I would ever buy, but maybe...

Thanks for sharing your video! What a truely spectacular place! :)

Anyone considered towing a Cargo Trailer with their Ryker?

CAN-AM ATV's with CVT are used to tow trailers, wood processors, logs etc. So I dont think the CVT is a limitation for any relatively light trailer. If there is any way to safely attach a tow hitch is the main question.

Helmets - which style do you prefer & why?

Full face helmet for me! :) Personally I value the safety aspect of it. I would not want anything less than a full face helmet in an event like the one posted here: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?136946-My-F4-took-one-for-the-team

Starting and running the Spyder all winter

I plug in a battery tender, and throw a blanket over the bike to keep it dust free. Probably overkill, but a few times during the winter I just roll the bike manually a little, to avoid "flat spots" on the tires. I have no idea if that really is a risk, and probably any flat spots would be gone...

    Wow

Electric car (battery, super cap, or fuel cell) SURE! when the tech is ready+mature and the infrastructure is there! But for a 2 or 3 wheel bike, I am very sceptical this is a viable and attractive option for quite many more years.

My F4 took one for the team

Wow! Whatever that was, sure would have been bad if it hit you instead of the windshield! Glad you are OK. :)

Guess someone named Kevin Bliss needed to make a point? Yes, you can flip a Spyder

It is not the first time I've seen someone abuse a Spyder or Ryker with what looks like just the intention to destroy the vechicle. Check out the video below where a Ryker is thrashed. I must admit I get a little triggered by someone destroying things for the sake of... enjoying to destroy...

    to change oil or not?

Just a thought, it is not clear if you bought it brand new in October or if it was a used bike with very low milage. Depending on when the Ryker was first sold, a change might still be a good idea. The intervall is 6000 miles OR 12 months, whichever comes first. So it could be a good idea to...

    What's Wrong with the Ryker?

I can second what SportsterDoc says. I've made quite a few trips cruising at 80-90 MPH most of the time for up to 3 hours. Very comfy and stable. Please note that I run stock Rally suspension, Stock sway bar, and stock Kenda tires. With some upgrades Im sure it can get even more planted, but I...

Gratz on a great purchase, Im sure it will bring you many miles of fun riding :) Also just have to say, that color looks great!

    Riding gloves question

Flamewinger, I can confirm, it hurts even with gloves, ouch! I added the OEM hand guards to my Ryker both for a bit of wind protection, and also to keep my hands safe from bugs and stones. After each trip the hand guards are just covered with bugs, so they sure save my gloves and hands from a...
