• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do you wear boots when riding?

I use motorbike boots, with a quite stiff sole and additional protection for the ankles. It is a trade off for comfort and ease for walking when off the bike, I've in the past used touring boots that go higher up on the shins and offer some protection against twisting of the foot as well, but...

    RYKER Fuel Tank INFO.

I can agree that a good fuel guage that gives an accurate reading would be the best, and the criticism is valid. However, a simple work around that I've used is to simply reset the trip meter each fuel up. I know I can allways get at least 200km per tank (and a bit more if I drive slower). It...

CVT noise "shifting" in and out of neutral - drive belt?

I'd put my money on a shot/disintegrated roller in the CVT clutch.

    Radiator Bug & Debris Filters

Just a word of caution, doing these mods and seeing that the engine does not seem to overheat is only one factor. Reduced airflow will affect the temperatures in the engine bay etc as well. Gaskets, hoses, cable harnesses, ECUs etc all have installation requirements that the manufacturer takes...

Suggestions on riding with your dog...

Also keep in mind the sensitive ears of the dog. There are a lot of suitable ear protection for doggos :)

How do you dress for a ride?

I do not want to become a meat crayon in case of an accident. So I wear kevlar jeans, kevlar hoodie or leather jacket, back protection, kevlar gloves, motorbike boots with proper ankle protection and a full helmet. Even with proper gear, you are likely to be hurt in case of an accident. But the...

Difference between 600 and 900 Ryker?

I'm a 900 Rally owner, but I have to agree on this one, the 600 twin does have a really awesome sound! If sound and price point are key factors for the decision, the 600 can indeed be a good choice :)

    A confession

Wellcome to the reverse trike family :D You will not regret it, the Ryker is an amazing machine! And I can confess I did the same thing, just saw some videos online and I made up my mind. Bought my Ryker before even test riding it, and 1,5 years later I still consider it one of my best...

New Ryker - but need advice for the long ride home?!

I did the same! Had never even tested a Ryker before. Bought a one way train ticket, and drove it home in one go, went really smooth! Just take a look at the map, and try to choose a route that avoids busy highways in order to not be forced to a constant RPM for very long periods of time. Your...

    Ryker windshield - any recommendations?

Im 6 feet 2 inches tall, using the small Can Am shield, and it does a great job in my opinion. It is small enough so I freely can look over it, but still does a good job of keeping wind from my chest. Im happy with it, but there are quite a few aftermarket options out there, both small and...

    The Ryker trip-report!

Ooof! That doesnt sound too nice, but at least it's a quite short ride :) Personally I have had a lot of luck, and managed to stay away from riding in rain. Only had a few instances of light rain, but nothing enough to get me soaked. That looks like a great trip, well except for the breakdown...

    The Ryker trip-report!

Took a little trip in the nice spring weather. Wanted to give my new luggage set up a good shake down before going on the first longer trip. It worked like a charm! :) Link to the thread about the luggage set up, if someone is curious and want inspiration

    High beam riding for safety

I've had quite a few occasions, where cars do not seem to see me, and turn out in front of my bike or oncoming cars passing others forcing me to allmost go in the ditch. In order to be more visible I have started riding with the high beam on during daytime, and judging by the ammount of cars...

Top Speed after upgrades... or downgrades :)

Awesome video as usual, Martin! :) 80,000 km with you riding, that is quite a durability test! Great to see the bike holding up so well over time even with your VERY inspired riding style.

Squeal from my new Ryker!! CVT, or what??

Did it only happend once, or reoccuring events etc? Wild guess, hard to really have much of a clue based on just a quick description, but could also be something as simple as a small piece of gravel between brake rotor and caliper/pad.
