• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Owners Event Info you've been waiting for

Agreed I like the idea. This should enable more riders to attend an event sometime during the year. No complaints on my end, I just love riding the Spyder and if I run into an event that's great! I agree that no matter what is done some people will not be satisfied.

    Tail of the dragon

Been on all of those roads. If you are going to the outer banks from deals gap that will take a full day. Time is not on your side to catch everything so I would pick and chose. the Cherola skyway and deals gap would be good as you are doing Deals gap anyway. 209 from Maggie Valley to Hot...

We Have ALL Got To Try This Car!

It is only the cost of 3 or 4 Spyders, Right?

    Is it possible.......

I might as well weigh in on this subject. I don't chime in much but I like this discussion. At this time in my life I enjoy the touring aspect of cycling. I have in my garage two old touring bikes that I just can't get rid of, and a couple of cruisers that I still enjoy riding from time to time...

    New owner, soon

YEP! The 2010 RT S I had was a good bike. 25,000 trouble free miles. I traded last year for a '14 RT S . Got the itch and wanted the triple 1330. Loved that 2010 tho. Enjoy it. Here is the 2010 I had.

Slingshot: Stop Sale - Stop Ride Notice

Every vehicle has recalls. It is a good thing all spyder owners didn't put their"s up for sale because of a recall or I wouldn't have had almost 4 fantastic years of Roadster fun!

If You Ride 2-UP Most Of The Time

The main thing for my wife is the comfort items. We have an RTS (our 2nd one) there is not much you need to add in the comfort dept for the passenger. The floorboards are there and are adjustable, the backrest is already there. My wife felt she would be more comfortable with armrest and we...

Gray to black conversion - DONE.

The plastic dip on the bars on the 2010 RTS I had looked great. Like yours turned out good and never tried to peel or come off. The only place it ever showed ware was on the foot peg mounting plates where my feet would rub. I simply trimmed it back from where my feet would touch and all was well.

    Specially Designed "Kenda" Tires

 I have had good luck with my OEM tires as well. So far anyway, jury is still out on my '14.

    Spyder population

Spyders are sold all over the world. I would think the U.S. goverment could care less about those sold over seas. I wonder if the total number manufactured would actually be higher.

    First Ever Spyder Ride

 I agree. The 2010 RT S that I bought new in 2011 was an awesome ride. My wife and I rode it cross country and loved it . The 998 was a strong powerplant. All you had to do was keep it in the right RPM range, it loved it in the 6 and 7 thousand range and had great power. I had no...

    Lateral Force on the Passenger

I have the corbin arm rest on my '14. My signature pic was taken before I installed the corbins. We had these on my 2010 RTS and when I traded up to the '14 I kept them. My wife wouldn't ride without them. She gets a real since of security with them. I assume this would hold true for any brand...

From Harley to Spyder RT Limited

Very nice. I have two wheelers in the garage along with the spyder. The Spyder is such a good ride that the two wheelers hardly ever see the light of day. You and your wife are in for a lot of good times on the Spyder. Congrats!

Slingshot not street legal in Connecticut

I like the Virginia "autocycle" classification. Also it seems to me that all Polaris needs to do to get by the Connecticut classification is to cut a big hole in the hood to expose the engine. It would then meet one of the two requirements to be a motorcycle. the Spyder RT has an enclosed engine...

    F3 Demo and Frunk Size

"To that end, I'm really glad it fits! Plus, that leaves the frunk open for the quick trip to the store for some beverages. Hopefully, a six-pack of longnecks was also a design criteria for the frunk! :doorag:":thumbup:

    F3 Demo and Frunk Size

I have not ever worried about being able to get a helmet in a compartment on the Spyder. I never had a place on my two wheelers to store a helmet anyway. the Frunk and bags on the spyder are for storing STUFF. Meaning rain suits, tire repair kit, small air compressor, gloves, extra jackets, misc...

    Brake Pads for 2013/2014 Spyders

I was told that the front wheels do 60% braking and the rear wheel does 40%. That would indicate each front wheel is doing 30% of the work with the the rear doing 40% . This would explain the rear pads wearing out before the fronts . That was the way my 2010 Rt was. the rear pads were replaced...

Manual transmission vs. semi automatic transmission

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think I read that about 2/3rds of the spyders sold are SE's . I may have read it in one of the Spyder reviews from a cycle magazine. Anyway, my first Spyder RT was a SM and i thought that was the only way to go. My new one I decided to go with a SE and I...

Could be compitition for the Spyder

Well guys,,,this has turned into an apples and orange comparison again. This thread reads like a debate between the two machines. Quite honestly if I spend 20 plus thousand dollars on a toy to ride, or drive, I am going to say I like it. To say different would be the same as saying I wasted my...
