• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trade or Sell

Well, one thing you can add to your sell price is that the trade in value should be deducted from the applicable sells tax owed on the new machine. At least that is the way it is in Tennessee. If that is the case in your state you can add perhaps 800 to a thousand in sales tax that you don't...

    Can you hear me now?

44.00 at Advance Auto for the horn kit and 15.00 for the relay wiring kit.

    Can you hear me now?

It will work but my concern is would the horn Button handle the current without eventual damage.

    Can you hear me now?

I picked it up at advance auto. I threw the package away and not sure of the dB rating. The wiring paper I have says Model HWK 1. All I know is it is loud!

    Can you hear me now?

Yes. That's what I did. Remove old horn, hook old horn wires to a relay (coil) and run hot and neutral from battery . Run hot through normally open contacts on relay then to the positive on the new horn. Hook negative to negative on new horn. Put ear plugs in and push horn button.

    Can you hear me now?

Not a bad install on the '14 . Plenty of room for it where the original horn was. Some have installed and used the wires that were hooked to the original horn but I went ahead and ran power from the battery to a relay.

    1600 mile F3 Update

I agree with your comment about the full face helmet, I noted on the forum about a ride I took on an F3 and the fact that the wind tried to lift the 3/4 Helmet off my head from about 50 mph and up. As a matter of fact, at 75 the strap was almost choking me from the updraft. the one I rode did...

    Shock Adjusters - Finally!

Great! Looking Good Ron! Just in time for summer! It's been a pleasure working with you on this as a "test Pilot" for the adjusters. I have put the prototype's through quite a few miles and different settings. These adjusters are what the stock shocks need. Stan

    Goodbye, Farewell

I rode an F3 not as a test drive but more just a curiosity. Plus my dealer said take it out and see what it will do. This one did not have a windshield on it and I will say simply, it is not for me. The up draft from the airflow tried to lift my helmet off my head to the extent that it was very...

    A question for spyder riders

I agree. I have never worried about what others thought of what I ride or drive. As far as the Spyder goes, A lot of bike riders like it and are very interested in it, some like it but won't admit it, very few actual negative comments. When the 3 wheel question comes up I let them know of the 6...

    Flat tire advise

Agree with the tire plug kit. I carry one and also have a little compressor just in case. A lot of folks also use "ride-on" tire sealant and I understand it works really good at sealing up holes. I have it in my 622 tires but haven't put it in the spyder tires. It is about 8 or 10 bucks a bottle...

Looking for ideas on map holder for 2011 RT

I don't use maps. I have found that google maps on my smart phone is very good and up to date. I have a ram mount in the center of the handle bars (where the gps in located on the RT limited). The ram mount will hold my phone or a GPS and works great.

    hey bob, hey bob

tab Yep! that little tab will not let the trunk latch. I went through that on the 2010 RTS I had. Lesson learned.

Well, I never thought i'd say this, but I'm getting an RT.

You will like it. Hey, the RT is great if you want the comfort and luggage space needed for two up riding. The 1330 is awesome! I loved my 2010 RT but I don't regret the trade up at all. Everything from better gas mileage to power and lower maint. cost is a plus. As you can see in the pic, I...

60 IS THE WORST AGE TO BE

I am going on 64 and I have no problem at all holding my pee. ...... once I start I just never know when I'm done

    Terrible gas mileage

I had the 998 RT and was consistently getting low 30's on mileage. Keep the RPM;s up and you will find the v twin will be much happier. With 16 mpg it sounds as though something else is wrong. I pulled a 622 trailer quite often and never dropped below mid twenties running hard.

    Where to mount?

3M adhesive I used 3M automotive adhesive, picked it up at Advance Auto, to mount my GPS Window suction cup to the center of the RT handlebars (where the factory GPS is on the RT limited). This was on the bike for 2 years and I traded for a 14 RTS. That stuff is like welding something...
