• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help 2016 RTS vs F3 Limited Can't Decide

Good choice, The F3's are super cool and if a person likes the cruiser style riding position it can't be beat. As others have said, one is a cruiser and the other is a touring bike. I have two wheelers in the garage both cruisers and touring bikes, I always revert to one of the touring bikes...

    Which model should I consider?

I'd suggest going by a dealer and set on the different models. Just see what fits. I am your age and the RT is right for me. I like the seating position.

    F3 or RT

My wife loves the RT for the passenger comfort and storage. We also pull a 622 trailer for longer touring. If I were younger the F3 would be cool but I am very happy with an RT. This is my 2nd one and the 1330 triple se6 is great.

finally picked a color with the help of Pete

I've always liked blue on bikes and cars as well. My first motorcycle was a little blue Honda almost 50 years ago and I guess it has stayed in my mind from then. Wouldn't you know it,, for 2016 BRP brought the Blue color back to the RT's. Here is a pic of the Blue 2010 RTS that I had.

finally picked a color with the help of Pete

It took me a long time Bob to finally go for it. The color came out very close to the blue trailer. almost can't tell the difference. The contrast on the black is not overpowering but enough to know it is there. Getting used to the black but the Blue RT still runs deep in my veins.

finally picked a color with the help of Pete

Thank you for the . I have already plastic coated the rims on the trailer black as well as some black trim on the wheel wells. I think with a black stripe it will blend in fine going down the road.

finally picked a color with the help of Pete

Thanks, Pete had done a 100 HP for me on the other spyder and he still had the font for it and changed it to 115. The triple is one of his newer decals along with the 1330 decal that I didn't get in the picture. I put the 1330 down just above the Rotax emblem on both sides.

finally picked a color with the help of Pete

It's taken a while to decide what to put on the black RTS to "Make it Mine" I've thought about this for Quite a while. I may be like many others with RT's that ended up with a trailer that matched the previous Spyder and is not the color of the Spyders we now have. I have a 2010 orbital blue...

    Run for the Wall

tight formations not for me any more I agree on the tight formation riding such as the RFTW. I've been on that ride 5 or 6 years on two wheelers but I really got uncomfortable with the close formation riding for hundreds of miles. The last couple of years I rode, I registered and simply went...

    What do you think?Buy it?

I suppose the real question is do you want a touring spyder or a sport version? consider what fits in your budget. Make that decision then go shopping. For me the RT is the best fit for the riding i and my wife enjoy. If I were younger I'd be on an RS or perhaps an F3 cruiser style. (the F3 has...

    What do you think?Buy it?

RS MODEL The new RS models are v twin. It may be a long while before a 1330 is offered. The 201w is a very good bike, also very fast.

Thinking about a trip to Mount Ruhsmore area

Sturgis, not me. I avoid the crowds when I can but I can't wait to go back to that area. My wife wants to go back in 2016. September was great weather when my wife and I went from upper east Tennessee to Mt. Rushmore, Spent a week out there staying in Rapid City. Wonderful roads and sights to...

    New RT Limited in Blue

Hey Bob, Let's face it Bob, We like blue no matter what color it is. I have ordered some graphics from Pete at "wrap my spyder" that are real close to the Orbital blue color. (I still have the Orbital blue 622 trailer). I put black stripes on the trailer as well as plastic dipped...

    New RT Limited in Blue

I loved the Blue. My first one was a 2010, Orbital Blue (see pic below). If I'm not mistaken the Blue in 2011 or 2012 changed to Quantum Blue that was a shade lighter than the Orbital blue. It looks a little lighter in the sun in this picture but it is the same color as the 2016's. I traded for...

    2010 RTS

I bought a 2010 RTS and put 25,000 miles on it with no problems. Really enjoyed it. Blue with white stripes on it. Mine never had a throttle body issue, that is about the only thing i believe caused any problems on the early RT's. It was a good spyder and ran great. I did replace the shocks with...

Thinking of buying a 2015 RTS SE6--got a couple of questions--

Ditto I agree Bob. Shock adjusters are a good add. Otherwise that is all I have done to mine with the exception of the 3rd brake light. I also added red LED turn signal lights behind the speaker grills. I think my bike handles fine for my type of riding. If I was more aggressive the Swaybar...
