• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    vibration from new toyo

Agreed on two counts: coincidental and not the tire based on that last test. Although you said it happens around 45mph. That is around the normal speed for a tire. (it has to do with how fast it is spinning) Example: Driveshaft vibration is most noticable at around 15 mph Very strange issue...

    vibration from new toyo

I might just get another Toyo. The point is to get a different tire, not nessesaraly a different brand. When it is time, I am going with the Michilen's up front as well.

    vibration from new toyo

If you replaced the tire and created a vibration, I would suspect the tire first. While the Toyo is a great tire, the modern manufacture process dictates a certian amout of failures. Maybe you gat a bad one! Try another tire before you start fixing stuff that isnt broke.

    Fuel Filter ?

I looked at mine and it says "Made in USA" and it has 38142 on it. I think there are a couple more numbers in front of that but it was kind of washed out. Since Purolater makes the OEM air filter, I would check their web site 709000100 is the BRP number but you probably already knew that.

My good deed for the day.

I believe the air filter also fits a late 80's to early 90's Dodge Dart. Wally world Fram or Purolater .... like $5

Just had my 600 mile service.

:yikes: Whow, All that stuff put together would draw less than 2 amps. There is a 15 amp acc. circuit built in! I agree you would be on your own on the brake mods, but the minor electonics ..... come on! I have over 300 LED's, Alarm, Radar, GPS, phone, 4 HID lights, Extra tail lights, extra...

Hauling a Spyder from Ohio to Georgia

I agree with the buy a trailer and then sell it when your done theroy. You should be able to pick up a used utility trailer for 3-4 hundred and then sell it real quick for 2-3 hundred when your done. Craigs list is your friend here. Of course, I would be doing my best to figure out a way to...

    Spark Plugs..over 5000mi?...change um!

Well, I just finished my 6000 mile service and have a couple of observations. 1. I put in a new set of plugs. (just the stock ones for $3 each at Advance Auto) Man what a difference! The old plugs looked great but it runs soooo much better with new ones. No more misses! So, if you have more than...

    185-60-14's

Wow those look awesome and the fender looks perfectly centered! You have done some other pretty cool stuff as well. Could you please explain how you did this. "elongated the holes" is not quite enough info for me to "get it" Thanks

    Communication system????

I have Scala Rider Q2's and love them. They are simple to operate and have good sound. My wife (who has trouble changing the TV channel with a remote .. read "non-technical") can operate it just fine. A neat feature of this set up is that they will work even if you get off the bike as long as...

    Rear Fender Removal

Yep, it does so I added additional tail lights (59 Caddy LED bullets) If you ride in the rain you will have to clean it, with or without a fender.

    Rear Fender Removal

I have been fenderless since day one. Never noticed any disadvantage. If it does spray water up, I am long gone before it comes down. I do have a trunk on the rear, but really, no disadvantage at all for me not having it. Just dont hang your tag under the tail lights. While it looks like it will...

juice box settings...which ones work for you and why?

I am at 3,6,6,3,4.5 I have a Hindle and oiled foam airfilter with no air box. Runs pretty darn good and gets 130 or so miles to the fuel light. It does still have a very minor flat spot around 4000RPM but I think that might be a lean spot in the factory curve which no add on box can fix. (If...

    More Horsepower

Everyone always asks me "How fast does it go?" I have a smart ars answer. I say, "It's faster than a Toyota with a stuck gas pedal.":yikes:

    more tire choices

True but they still have them in stock. I dont really care for the 912 on the rear as it has an asymetrical tread pattern

    more tire choices

http://www.vulcantire.com/cgi-bin/tiresearch.cgi?stock=402&f=ze512_t.htm This is a pretty sweet Falken It is the ZE512 One of the advantages of this tire is that it is available in both 225/50-15 and 185/60-14 so you can have 3 tires that are the same. Also, very good price!

Do you use Ear Plugs ?

I bought some of the ear goo from wally world a few years back. They were called "ear plugs that fit" Same putty concept as earfuse but no audio. $10 I think. I molded them per the instructions and then cut them out to fit a set of quality earbuds. I used a bit of RTV to seal the buds in to...
