• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Throttle delay - can it be fixed by BUDS? Or Pedal Commander?

WOW!!! I could not even imagine having a delay in throttle response time. for my style of driving and what I am use to it could cause serious confidence problems. I wouldn't feel comfortable in passing a car or large truck. That could lead to disastrous consequences if your hustling to pass...

Throttle delay - can it be fixed by BUDS? Or Pedal Commander?

Hi... That's not normal. At all. Your 1-1.5 second delay (from what you inferred) should not exist, the throttle and wrist movement should be instantaneous. Your throttle body may need to be properly cleaned and checked. Any codes produced? Hidden ones? I cant tell you why it's doing that...

Reduction in annual plate costs for 3 wheelers in Quebec

Here in Nova Scotia (Canada) it is $46.10 a year for a 2 or 3 wheel motorcycle. Oldgoat... was that per year or for a multiple years? Tim

Hello all. i need help with getting a directory started for stranded riders

I wouldn't be on any sizeable trip with out CAA (Canadian Version). We will scoot around NS and PEI and Southern NB but any trip that we're in it for more than two days worth of driving is not going to happen without CAA. Plus they offer travel discounts on lodging and restaurants etc. Really, a...

Hello all. i need help with getting a directory started for stranded riders

Great Idea... I would offer my home and services to a biking stranger... I think this is a great Idea. It would be nice to have a proper area where a user here can log into and find a safe location in the event of an emergency or break down. I would offer a bed, garage, tools, experience...

Nice of them to provide a wick or fuse to that little time bomb! Tim

Does anyone use Fuel Additive in their Spyder? Is it safe?

I use Seafoam in my Goldwings religiously. I use it when putting the bikes away for the season along with a fuel stabilizer. I use it in the gas and the oil when needed. All of my Wings (1100, 1200 and 1500) use good old fashion carbs and it works great with them and it dissolves carbon on...

High beams issue - they're stuck on High, no Low?! Any Fix?

Hey… A lot of people are making the assumption that the OP had/has installed LED headlights. Someone mentioned LED headlights and problems with fitment and everyone ran with that. I didn’t read anywhere in this thread that he has LED headlights. I am personally assuming that his bike came with...

998cc Evap Purge valve Code P0443

Hey Ken.... Glad you came back to your thread and did a follow up. Too many people don't do followups and others never know if they found their solution and what it was. Also glad that you resolved the P code you were getting. I would still recommend the canister-ectomy though. Mine will be...

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

Funny you should mention that... We ran into all three of those condition this summer while on the road. These were new conditions that were introduced this year and at places that we have stayed at many many times over the years in/on PEI. There were no exceptions at one of our regular...

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

Agreed! I we have found that cutting through all the confusion with cut rate sites like Expedia, Priceline, Trivago, Hotels.com, etc, we simply call the hotel that we're interested in directly and deal only with them. You have to make sure you really are talking to them and not some 3rd party...

    Baja Ron Performance Suspension Sticker

I don't put them on tool boxes or tool chests but I am working on my second beverage fridge in the garage... :D Unfortunately this is my second fridge and I lost all my old stickers when the first one went to the recyclers so I have been slowly collecting more. Tim

How do you find good clean hotel rooms at a fair price?

As I mentioned in a similar post from you.... One of the things that come into play, for us anyway, is that we plan an itinerary. We know what town or area we are going to be in or want to stay in at the end of a travel day. That is key.... time to do your homework BEFORE you travel. Bed and...

Spyder Travelers, what do you do for overnight stays?

Hey... One of the things that come into play, for us anyway, is that we plan an itinerary. We know what town or area we are going to be in or want to stay in at the end of a travel day. That is key.... time to do your homework BEFORE you travel. Bed and Breakfasts are a great option too. This...

    water under the windshield ??

Hahahaha.... I am 54. Been driving a Goldwing since I was 16. My dad always had a Wing and I got to drive it 3 or 4 times a season over the years. I had a low time without a bike in my early 20's as my wife's parents did not like motorcycles (Donor-Cycle or Murder-Cycle) and , well, she was...

How hard is it to fit a Headlight flasher?

Oh yes... that part... AGREED there! I don't think that, and I can't say for sure at least around here, the LEO's probably wouldn't stop you over that. If they were flashing alternately back and forth then yes. My point was that they don't have to to be connected to the headlights high beam to...
