• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

To me it looks like the old one is on the left.

Transition from 2 wheels to 3

It is as if I wrote your post 7 years ago. A lifetime on 2 wheels but with a failing body. I was always frightened, like you, when stopping at a red light or stop sign. I test rode a Spyder twice. First time I hated it (2008 GS one) & was all over the road. Next time was 4 years later & it was...

Anyone Here Also Ride a Maxi-Scooter?

I've owned a Burgman 650 Executive, a Burgman 400 & a Silverwing 600. My favorite was the smaller Burgman 400. Not as heavy for me, very economical, the most storage of the 3. Cheaper to buy. Sold it to get my Spyder as my knee deteriorated & it was difficult to hold up when coming to a stop.

Long Solo Trips - What Did You Learn About Yourself?

I really like this thread Have learned that I'm a 100 to 150 mile per ride man. My old body can't really take more. I live on the west end of the island of Montreal. Traffic is horrendous as are the road surfaces. There are pleasant rides off the east end of the island but that 30 mile ride...

    Cardo Freedom1 review

I also have recently purchased a Cardo Freecom 1. I like it a lot for music from my Zumo 660. Easy to adjust volume with fingerless gloves but a bit of a pain with regular gloves with fingers. Happy with it.

Help with my purchase please. 2009 GS SM5

The rear brake on my 2008 GS SM5 has rubbed/squeaked since the day I brought it home in 2012. It will squeak after applying the brakes but go away after a few rotations of the rear wheel. I ignore it now. The brake pads seem to last for a long time. The level of the brake fluid in the twin...

My 2018 RT Limited Dash is SAD

You have to tap on the small down arrow at the top left. Select roadster Select art Select the rear Select operators manual I think! This is stupid & annoying. When I typed my instructions to help the OP I most definitely did not spell some of the words so they were nonsensical. Must have...

    Cardo Bluetooth - any thoughts

I recently purchased a Cardo Freedom One. Very happy with it. Excellent sound quality when listening to music I have on my Garmin Zumo 660. The music is a bonus. I bought it so I could hear the Zumo lady's instructions. Great for that as well. They have many videos showing how to connect to...

Nannie got me real good yesterday

That doesn't seem right. It would make you a hazard to following traffic to have the electronics stop your Spyder in mid corner. Or am I missing something here?

Thanks to Joe & Ann @ Squared Away

I live on the other side of the continent but always feel good when I read about Joe & Ann helping people out from the goodness of their hearts. Thank you! Wifey & I always fly to LV each late Aug to do a SW tour in a rented Hertz SUV so hopefully will not need to disturb them Oldgoat.

    Horrible day dealing with iMotorsports

Yes, but you don't want to drive across the country hauling 1 Spyder do you. Obviously not cost effective.

I agree with you Suzuki Burgman 650......no coasting at all Suzuki Burgman 400.....coasting was much, much better Yamaha 400 scooter.....coasting was great. All 3 had CVTs. So there is a difference.

    Two '09 SE5s won't start

I get very confused with your use of 'crank' and 'turn over'. For the past 70 years they have been the same thing for me & I believe for most people as well. I hope you get yours to start in the end.
