• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After Fabrication details for a Prop rod for the seat. 2022 RT-L

I used BLUEKNIGHT!!'s method (I think) on my 2008 GS as the Utopia backrest was too heavy for the strut. When I lift the seat now a length of 1/4" rod falls down, It has a rubber foot on it. Great, I love it.

Anyone else a loner and not a group rider?

I'm a loner and love it. The only time I went with a group was when I had a V-Max back in 2003. A group had come up from the US to Montreal and as I new the leader I went along. At the first rest stop I quit and went home Heard later a rider had run into a roadside barrier and very badly broke a...

I have an '08 GS SM5.It is fitted with auxiliary spotlights (led) and 2 small extra fans in the engine space to pull out hot air and blow it out under the bike. Motorcycle Trailer Hitch - what are the straps secured to?

Tis was one of the comments on the weird contraption I think this item may have a purpose, but it certainly didn't work for what I needed.... We have a friend of ours that drives a Jeep Wrangler as a "follow" vehicle. Thought this would be good in case we got out and had any trouble. We were...

Anyone got details on the Suspension zerks needed to make them easier to use?

On my 2008GS they are metric 6mm grease nipples. For the rear 4 I have 90 degree ones and for the front 4 I have 45 degree ones. I had to invest in a decent, gripping grease gun end fitting to lock securely onto the grease nipples as the grease would ooze out when using the gun. Even with all...

Is there any real data regarding the safety of the Spyder vs traditional motorcycles

Since the Spyder was introduced, Quebec set the annual plate fee to be the same as "Touring Motorcycles". Last year that was around $700CAD per annum. Over the years the SAAQ (the Quebec government's vehicle dept) has been monitoring motorcycle accident statistics and recently came up with this...

The most dangerous place on earth for me.

Do as you are told and I hope you completely heal. I'm 83 and my wife of 56 years died last year. I was a mess and still am to some extent. Within 2 months of her death 1) I fell down the basement stairs 2) I tripped and fell headlong onto the furnace room floor 3) fell over in the garden and...

Please, I need advice re Putting a Spyder on ramps?

I use car ramps that have teeth that are supposed to grip the floor. I have had the ramps (or a ramp) shoot forward while on the way up them. I now place a length of cardboard under each ramp (or an old towel). They have not slipped since.

Review: Elka Shocks on 2021 S2S

I have Elka 1+R on front & back on my 2008 GS SM5. Not their most expensive option model. I told them my weight, that I rode mostly solo and that I wanted comfort with no rear end jarring/bottoming. They deliver that for me.
