• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Filter Cap Bolt issue

Those threads are called Heli-coils and it takes a kit to replace them because they come with a special tap to redo the threads in the casting. Last I looked, this kit can be purchased at an auto parts store, but I would check for the thread size on your bolt to make sure they have it in the kit.

    2013 LTD Questions

I ask Scala the very question and they said there's will not work with the dongle and they are not going to try to make it work either. So the only ones that will work are the Sena's. :banghead:

Do you leave your helmet on the bike?

We use Kewl Metal helmet locks if the frunk is full. Otherwise, both of our 3/4 helmets with scala fit nicely in the frunk.

Question about the bouncing fuel gauge...for those that replaced their gauge

I just use the gauge as a reference, but mostly rely on the trip meter(which I religiously reset when I fill up) and the low fuel warning light. The most I have put in with the fuel light on is 4.5 gal. which is plenty to get to a gas station with a 6 plus gal. tank.

    What Was Your First Car?

How about a 52 Plymouth three window coup that I resurrected from a junk yard and had it painted phantom blue by Earl Schibe. Flat head six with three on the column and a portable transistor radio laying on the back panel. Graduated to a 56 Ford Country Squire station wagon with the cowboy...

    Super Ryde Day

My wife and I met up with two other Spyder couples for breakfast and interesting conversation. After, my wife and I, headed for Columbia, SC. Stayed on the interstates and encountered some pretty good head winds. Our Spyder was really working hard to maintain 75mph with cruise set, and the...

    Fuel Gauge Readings

Same as above. I top mine off if I am going to ride on that tank of gas. I usually ride until the fuel light comes on, because I know I can make it to a gas station and still only put 5 gal. in it. If I am parking it, I do not top it off because of the fumes issue.

Interesting pics from Laos all viewable see if this works.

Those pictures are awesome. I am glad you shared them. It took me back to my year in Viet Nam, but it was even more interesting to see how much of that was left and how much the locals are using the scrap metal. Thanks again for the trip down memory lane.
