• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If You Ride 2-UP Most Of The Time

Trunk Mirror We didn't like the ones we have seen for sale, so I had a buddy in the glass business cut me one about 5 1/2" x 2 1/4". Then I glued it onto a wedge shaped piece of styrofoam and then onto the area just above the top of the trunk opening. It took a couple trys to get the wedge...

    Utility box for my Spyder

Softside Craftsman Bag I use a small softside Craftsman tool bag, Part No #37535 according to the "Made in China" tag inside it. It fits in the bottom of the right-side saddlebag and is just tall enough so that my 1 gallon Roto-Pax gas can lays on top of it and the lid will shut properly...

    Kumho tire story

Discount Tire and other Chains IMHO, forget about the big chain stores and buy local and keep the money local. Just find a local independent tire dealer that handles the brand you want, but know exactly what tire you want. No need to tell them what it's for, and chances are they won't ask. I...

    Tires and Cold Concrete Floors

Thanks guys. I am gonna have to buy something, as the RED I currently have is over two years old and the bottle says it's only good for two years once opened. I'll look for the Marine STA-BIL as we have lots of boat places around here. Mike in KY

RT-622 Trailer Yes there are less expensive trailers out there. But in my opinion, nothing looks as good as an RT-622 behind an RT Spyder. They just fit together. Mike in KY

    need new rear tire

Small Town Perks I just finished putting on my 3rd rear tire. The Kendra lasted 11K, and the Toyo Proxes 4 lasted another 15K, but still had a bit of tread left; just not enough to take off on a month long ride up north starting on Friday. Last Friday I asked one of my local Michelin dealers...

    What Roads Prohibit Trailers

Glacier NP That's good to know WasWinger. I plan on getting up to GNP next July/August. The only "no trailer" issue I have had was at Grandfather Mountain in NC. Tried to argue, but left the 622 next to their office and no problem. Mike in KY

    Custom Dynamics Light Questions!!!!!

Disconnect the turn and maybe the running light feature for the high mount brake light, at least the turn function. Although mine is the earlier version that can only be wired as running and/or brake light, I chose to wire mine as a brake light only. That way it is much more noticeable to...

    Anyone know anything about louispowersportssales?

Louis Motorsports I bought my 2012 RT-S SE5 off Curtis a year ago last April at over $4K less than any of my local (100 mile away) dealers. They even helped me hook up with a guy that delivered it 700+ miles to my front door in KY for $500. They did my 12K service back in April of this year...

    can you believe this question?

I too have had the "rear wheel steer" question and the "Does it lean" question too. While in Gettysburg a couple weeks back, I had a conversation with a couple that went from (2) 2012 RT's back to a Harley trike. The reason was due to multiple electrical problems they had with both Spyders...

    Best made cat bypass

Gut the OEM I just cut the top open with an abrasive wheel, used a small plasma cutter to gut the insides, and then TIG welded the tops back in place. Can't even tell it's been modified unless it's removed from the Spyder. Mike in KY

    RT Trunk lid handle

RT Trunk Lid Spring I just finished installing the "trunk lid spring" that WasWinger came up with back in June and I think it's gonna work great. In my junk boxes I found a spring that worked and a 5/8"x5/8"x1 1/4" piece of hard black rubber that I've held in place with 3M double faced tape...
