• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

There is alot of excitement, and see since yesterday morning some other members lurking. 1. WHEN: a. Looks like an extended weekend. b. Labor DAy weekend is nice, most have an "extra" day, but start of vacation season and crowds work for and against us.... ( Though I like the idea of...

MO Spyderlovers, & KS & AR Too!

Just read a note from Gary the Badger, ( I guess we've got our police escort problem solved!!!) First: We need a good list of locations of all our Spyder Owners. How do we do this. Someone says that this website might be able to get us a list? How about that Lamonster? And speaking...

Wow !!! :2thumbs: Looks like this bubble is growing. Let's not let it burst. Does someone want to take a lead in this. There's already two offers for support in planning, and I'm sure myself and others are ready and willing gophers. Someone take the lead and I for one will follow...

Both FRont Tires Wearing Inside Bad.

I don't remember any problems or noticeable wear at 3500 miles when I had the 3000 mile service. I just passed 4990 miles yesterday when SSG Bean broght this to my attention. It really is noticeable.... I do remember that when I bought the Spyder I asked for the spring tensions to be set...

Both FRont Tires Wearing Inside Bad.

It definitely looks like camber problems, not toe-in or toe-out based on the wear. There is a very noticeable rounding or curve of trear wear towards the inside of each tire, not cupping. And I am glad that my shoving and draggin the rear end around is not the problem. But.... Here is...

Both FRont Tires Wearing Inside Bad.

:yikes: Okay here's the problem. I just noticed that the inside of both my front tires has tread wear.... It's definitely out of alignment... Is it toe-in or toe-out or caster or camber ? I don't know what you call it. But it is significant. In fact, the wear has occurred just in the...

MO Spyderlovers, & KS & AR Too!

Well here goes something or nothing. Calling for an official roster or list of Spyder owners in Missouri and Kansas and Arkansas. A census if you will. (MODOT wants to know where to send the new "Special Road and Hwy Nusiance Tax" bill to us. Seems that the owners of Can-Am Spyders are...

    Well I took the leap

:congrats: Nothing better in the morning than opening the garage and the light from a new day shinning off your Full Moon (silver) Spyder. Full Moon is the fastest!

    New oil recommendation from BRP

wasn't it Rotella that Lamonster had changed to and well in his 7000 mile trip, we know what happened! I agree though that BRP better get this cleared up. The wet clutch depends alot on viscosity of the oil to operate properly. Oddly enough, I think when I took my SE5 in for first oil...

    Touring Model???

One more thing.... Wish that the SE5 today could handle more weight, it's not so much the weight but the distribution of weight. Here's the scenario, We went on an 800 mile trip through Arkansas this October. The picture below is from a similar trip to the BBB Rally in Sep '08 There was 35...

    Touring Model???

:agree: With Scotty and Lamonster. There will be a touring "roadster". With everything mentioned before... And it will have trailer hitch, and cruise control, and I predict a redesigned windshield and dash. 1. The dash will be larger, just above those two circles...in the middle a fixed...

    looking for most comfortable grips

Time, as everyone will tell you, will allow you to find that firm grip on the Spyder is not necessary (all the time). But the leaning forward design does apply unwanted pressure and thus tension up the arms towards the back. I've added Kuryakan Iso Grips, and MM risers. Now my weight is...

    Moved from riser install post

Whatever you do, install these risers. I guarantee that this will be an option on future Spyder models. But besides that, this is the "Mod of the Year" and makes all the difference in the world on Spyder comfort and control. I was worried about 3" vs 4", but 4" is really the best unless you...

    Etymotics Ear Buds

I just got the Westone UM-1 earbuds, they have noise dampening about 25 decibles and stereo sound. The wire is braided (hopeully this is stronger than other set-ups) and wraps over your ear. Fits well inside a HJC helmet. We are planning our big trip this summer and I am going to use a post...

    Warping Instrument Cluster

That was very informative. Thanks Dudley. I've planned a big trip this summer, and will now do my best to remember to park in the shade or cover the area. Don't need any warping... ( Unless it's Warp Speed)

    Cheap Spyder look alike

In all fairness, the asian person is smaller and weighs alot less. So 15 hp may well get that mini-spyder up and moving. And have you seen the traffic over there, they can't drive over 50 mph anyway. So, if we have any kids out there that need a really cool toy, thank-you China. "Just...

    What comes with new SE5?

Huh, Littlejohn you forgot the 20 cu ft freezer for that side of beef:popcorn: The only thing that they should consider in future year models is a pack of 100 business cards that give the specs on one side and this website on the other side to make those short trips to the grocery store...

    helmets

HJC 3/4 Carbon Fiber. We have the light tinted visor and I see fine at night as well with it down. Plus if you move it up out of the way, dorky but can be done, it doesn't feel like it's wanting to yank your head off, and the visor won't blow off. Funny Story, we never had a bike or wore...
