• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Results from Can-Am/BRP engineer conference call

Evil SOB is just about right... it's downright nasty sometimes. I'm a seasoned moto-veteran and this thing catches me out sometimes... I can't imagine what a new or inexperienced rider would think or what might happen in a panicked reflex action trying to fight its misbehavior. A local...

Results from Can-Am/BRP engineer conference call

Good afternoon, all! I had a conference call with the BRP engineers about the Ryker platform earlier this month (2019-02-08). We had a very good discussion and we had follow-up items that I sent in an email to get further information or clarification. The response email came back yesterday...

Rolo Laser Alignment Tools for Ryker now available

THANK YOU!!! I just called you and left a voicemail to schedule an appointment! -- QM

    Sway Bar

The bar was $134.99 (+tax) and the shop labor was $280.50 (3 hours @ $93.50/hr). That brought the total to $426.63. -- QM

    Sway Bar

Agreed! I had my dealer put mine on just because I didn't want to tear the front end apart on my Rally. The upgraded BRP bar definitely helps to stiffen the front suspension and keep the inside wheel down in corners. The traction nanny still prevents going full send into a corner and...

RYKER 600cc vs 900cc TOP speed and acceleration

I haven't done proper 0-60 tests with my Rally yet, but I can tell you that its time will be traction-limited... getting it moving from a stop is hard to do without spinning up the rear tire. You can let the TC do its job, but that obviously retards the engine power and lights up the rear brake...

RYKER 600cc vs 900cc TOP speed and acceleration

Yep, I'm sure someone will work on that in the aftermarket community if BRP doesn't make it a factory option. The real problem there is traction... my Rally can spin up the rear tire even at 35-40 MPH (I'm only ~170 pounds with riding gear), so adding 30%+ more torque and ~2x the HP will be real...

RYKER 600cc vs 900cc TOP speed and acceleration

I'm bound to stir up SH*T with this, but I'll have to call it a flat win for the Ryker 900 vs the Silverwing. I own both bikes, and I can say definitively that my 900 Rally will spank my Silverwing at any speed. I even have a Dr. Pulley HiT clutch, a Dr. Pulley variator, a Fuel Commander, and...

Age of riders buying a Ryker

The Ryker makes me feel like I'm in my 20's again... hopefully my driving record won't start feeling the same way. ;) This thing is probably going to get me into trouble. -- QM

Age of riders buying a Ryker

@748eric: It sounds like you and I are the same moto animals. I'm 48 and mirror most of what you said above. I have a 2013 Ducati Monster 1100 Evo sitting in the stable. Your 1200s has a little more grunt than my 1100, but you'd be SURPRISED how quick the Ryker 900/Rally is... it's a real...

Age of riders buying a Ryker

@GoandChase: Congrats! I'm 48 as well. I've owned 87 bikes (including this one) and I still have 14 others in the stable. I'll still plan to keep most (all?) of them, so the Ryker isn't replacing anything, just adding whole new dimension to riding for me. If you haven't ridden a reverse-trike...

HowTo: Can-Am Ryker Rally cruise control, throttle lock hack

Yep, I have a couple of those as well. The benefit of the Go Cruise is that you can completely remove your hand from the throttle to shake out your hand/arm if needed (or punch addresses into your GPS, etc). The palm rest type (Crampbuster) require you to keep your hand or some weight on the...

HowTo: Can-Am Ryker Rally cruise control, throttle lock hack

I posted a video on YouTube about how to add a cruise control to the Ryker. Note that you'll need a handguard to act as the stop/lock because we don't have a front brake lever. So, the Ryker Rally is ready to go, but the other versions will need the OEM handguard accessory (or an aftermarket...

    Help!!

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL RYKER OWNERS: I have a scheduled conference call with the head of BRP's Ryker engineering group at 1330 CDT (1:30 PM US\Central time) tomorrow, Friday, 2/8/2019! If you have any complaints about mechanical issues, OEM accessories, or other design/execution issues...

    new windshield for the ryker

MadStad Engineering windshield I purchased the OEM sport windshield, but I haven't mounted it yet. So, I don't have an opinion on how well it works (or not). I have the MadStad Engineering shield on a couple of my Honda's, and I can't say enough good things about them. Their shields are...

    Right Foot rest

:agree: +1 My right peg is "stickier" on the slider than the left one. I just bang it with my palm a few times while lifting up... that seems to encourage it enough to move. -- QM
