• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Really need your input!! Leangth of 2x10 ramps to use?

Maybe an alternative. If you have a landscaping rental place by you ( small diggers/loaders, large mowers, ect. ) check and see if they have tilt-flatbed trailers. Most will rent the trailers. Makes it soooo easy. Tom

    How difficult to ride

So true . . . . . . . . . . . . your learning curve will take whatever time it takes. I have seen motorcyclists get on a Spyder and have all sorts of trouble - sometimes it is unlearning and other times is is not respecting or underestimating the Spyder. If you approach it with VERY healthy...

    Pushing F3-S SE6

Yes . . . . . . . you are correct - if the key is not in the ON position, the alarm will beep ( in Neutral, 1st or Reverse ) when you turn off the Parking Brake and then turn off the key. ( I just went out and tried this to make sure ) So, when you are pushing it, the key will be in the on...

    How difficult to ride

all good advice . . . . . . . but if you want something a little more specific, it would help to let us know your general age and any other vehicle experiences ( things like snowmobiles, water-craft, ect. ). Tom

    Eating Crow

Sorry . . . . . . I can't help with either the backrest or the recipe ( despite having had to eat crow many times ) But, I did want to say that the trip you took hit some of my most favorite spots in this country. Except for the crow experience, you are a lucky guy! Tom

    One Hot ride

I was referring to. . . . . . . . . the engine temperature bars on the main display/gauge. It is on the opposite side from the gas gauge - as the engine warms up, the bars fill in from the bottom, going up. Normal engine operation is half way - if it were the gas gauge, you would say it is...

got my first thumbs down with the F3

I think it is safe to say . . . . . . . . . the F3 is not just another pretty face. You mentioned it before, people have a different reaction to the F3, I have noticed the same thing. The main difference is people who know bikes and vehicles are looking it over and are surprised and...

Where is the VIN # & Engine Serial number located on an F3-S?

I am pretty sure . . . . . . . it is on a sticker on the 'pipe' frame, left-side, just where the frame goes under the side panel. Tom

    Not sure Why?

Sort of . . . . . . . . . the picture is one of those photo-listicals of motorcycle "stories" they have done in the past. There are pictures of all sorts of motorcycles (and articles) if you click through them. OK, I will absolve them of poor reporting and fact-checking in this case - it is...

    One Hot ride

Yesterday . . . . . . . it was 32 (F) when I got up. By the time we started our 200 mile Project Road Warriors ride, it was around 55. The temperature got up to the high 80s - the F3 was saying 95 - by the last 75 miles. The altitude ranged from 5k to 7k, clear skies. The F3 had half of it's...

Project Road Warrior Ryde and Raffle.

A good day . . . . . . . . . for a GREAT cause. We had our Road Warrior ride yesterday, too. A great day here in NM and we took a ride that was just under 200 miles ( round trip ) to the Quarai Pueblo/Mission ruins. Great scenery, food, and company for a great cause. There was a whole bunch...

    Not sure Why?

It's obvious . . . . . . . . . . since it is from a NEWS source, and they are always completely accurate, BMW has bought BRP. Case closed. Tom
