• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 Frunk... any pictures?

I must have missed it-- anyone see any photos of what the F3 frunk actually looks like open? :dontknow: Everyone assumes its smaller than the current stable of Spyders based on the exterior shots, but aside from the actual volume number (which is?), I'm simply curious what it looks like inside...

New Yamaha Leaning Reverse Trike Concept

More info-- it's not just a sketch, they actually built a mock-up for Intermot: http://rideapart.com/articles/yamaha-unveils-worlds-interesting-trike-intermot-2014

    Spyder F3 Cross Country Saddlebag

Here's my concern: by unrealistically pricing products (whether Spyders or accessories), BRP is conditioning its most loyal buyers to NOT pay those prices. Meaning, anyone who has done their research recognizes that BRP fire-sells a whole slew of products soon after they go on the market...

    Spyder F3 Cross Country Saddlebag

For comparison: Harley-Davidson locking rigid leather saddlebags, $829.95. Oh, and they're larger, too. When *HD* stuff is cheaper than BRP's, you know there is something askew.

    F3 vs. RS

I share your frustration-- not a single rider with experience on both the F3 and the RS has yet to give a wholly satisfactory nuts-to-bolts comparison. The cruiser position doesn't bother me from a comfort perspective-- heck, with risers and floorboards, I modded my RS into a standard...

New Yamaha Leaning Reverse Trike Concept

Oh yeah, quite familiar with that concept (which is a quad, not a trike). I'm just telling you what Yamaha put out *yesterday*, Bob :joke:  As for the MP3 comparison-- it's definitely there, insofar as the front wheels are closer together than a Spyder's, but the difference between...

New Yamaha Leaning Reverse Trike Concept

The Yamaha 01Gen, revealed yesterday: http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news-new-bikes/intermot-2014-yamaha-unveils-01gen-three-wheeler-concept/25644.html Likely vaporware-- pretty much just a pretty sketch-- but if Yamaha put something out more powerful than its Tri-City (and more...

Anyone have the Size/specs of the side hard cases?

If true, one would think that would be a factory option advertised on the BRP site, yet it's not. Technically, the *RS* can and will tow a trailer, too-- you just have to do the modding yourself. But it's not an OEM-approved solution-- which makes one ask, will the F3 actually have a...

    my F3 ride

So, here's my dilemma: as a long-time RS rider, I'm used to really throwing my Spyder around in the twisties. I've long since optimized it for cornering (shocks, bars, seating position/boards/risers), and I ride it as hard as I can. It's no two-wheeler carver, but having ridden it back-to-back...

Anyone have the Size/specs of the side hard cases?

$1299?!? :yikes: You have got to be :cus: kidding me... You have to get the hard color-matched HD saddlebags to beat that price-- and they're far nicer than BRP: http://www.harley-davidson.com/shop/motorcycle-saddlebags BRP, I love ya, but you crazzzzzyyyy...

    Spyder F3 burnout on stage

Dumb yet unasked question: does this mean the F3 has a different-setting Nanny? Because the mother-hen on my RS sure as heck never let me do a burnout; a burn "blip" at best. :dontknow:

    What is this?

I couldn't find that precise model, but can't imagine that's not from (or inspired) by Maschinen Krieger: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maschinen_Krieger_ZbV_3000 Image search the name-- you'll see tons of awesome models.

Low Speed Wreck, Lots of Damage

I can attest to off-camber roads being a real :cus: on the Spyder. Many a mountain curve has surprised me with a "weeeeee!!!" moment as a result. That said, my observations: 1. It's not really necessary to do it while riding casually, but when riding technically, I *always* shift my weight...

    Did you see this one???

BTW-- top speed of 140 mph? :sour: After all the years of hype, I guess I expected more than that.

About $404 dollars? (Your emoticons merged with your link :joke:)

Most annoying ? about your Spyder

I can't say I'm annoyed by it, as much as I'm surprised-- nearly EVERY time I get asked questions, the *first* question is always about the price. And while I never judge a book by their cover, more than one of the folks who ask it are most likely NOT in the financial place to buy a Spyder...

Harley Releases New Trike for 2015

Introducing the Freewheeler: http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Motorcycles/freewheeler.html Looks like a factory version of a Lehman conversion; great option for the crowd that wants an OEM trike but doesn't like the fuddiness of the Tri-Glide. Between this, the Street bikes, the...

    Question for Ultimate Seat owners

Wait-- people wash their Spyders?? :coffee: I use my rain cover when it rains, so there ya go. I'll skip it if I'm out for a little bit, and if the Ultimate gets wet while parked I don't freak out, it can handle it. But it's a cheap 30 second investment for a seat I paid nearly a thousand...

    Proof Spyders Are Dangerous

No such thing as negative publicity? Ehhh... in this case, I'd say no, simply because of what you said: most of us (and most of America, judging by the general reaction to the guy) wouldn't want to meet him. Thus, when he's seen on a Spyder, right-thinking Americans everywhere unfairly recoil...
