• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can-Am Spyder Turbo Concept- NASCAR Inspired

Yeah, that's the *only* reason I won't buy one. If there were a dealer near me, I'd pick one up this summer. Thank you, lousy Euro manufacturer dealer networks, you've saved me tens of thousands I would have otherwise spent on Agustas, KTMs, and Huskys! :p

Can-Am Spyder Turbo Concept- NASCAR Inspired

Well, well, well... nothing like a new Spyder announcement to get me to return to Spyderlovers in the winter. :ohyea: A few thoughts: -- LOVE the color scheme! -- It looks like the concept loses the frunk, if that's the case that's a surprisingly big (inefficient?) turbo setup. -- My favorite...

well i got my CPAP machine

Ugh, I still remember those first days and weeks with CPAP, how I hated it. Unfortunately, I never quite reached that place people rave about-- "Best night's sleep in years!" It just kept me going long enough to lose weight and resolve my apnea. cuznjohn, a few tips: -- I had a full mask...

    Crashed GT500 into Dodge truck

Seems like a bad habit of show-offs crashing Mustangs leaving car shows...

They sell them in Thailand. Don't work there, either. :joke:

    Bike Barn Trike Cover.

About three inches. Four+ starts to load it up too much until the bars come apart and collapse. Ask me how I know. :banghead: So, pro-tip: sweep off the snow from your barn when you shovel everything else (but use *a broom*-- the edges of a shovel can tear right through the barn fabric if...

Leather or vinyl for new seat?

Ultimate Seats are vinyl, and you'd be hard-pressed to notice a difference... VERY durable.

    Go Pro Cameras

A few tips from my GoPro days: 1. IMHO, there's no great spot to mount the GoPro on the Spyder itself that doesn't get terminal vibration, so you're stuck wearing it. 2. The best footage from a helmet mount comes from the chin bar first, side second, and top last (up top you just lose all...

    Bike Barn Trike Cover.

Glad you ordered before you heard from me, as I have no complaints about mine! You *will* most likely need to order a new cover at some point though, which does make this even more expensive than advertised. My original cover lasted three years as well before the sun rot did it in. I've...

    Future of the RS

Everyone knows my broken record: 1. No to the 1330 in the RS. It's a fantastic touring engine, but there are better sport-oriented Rotaxs out there more befitting the RS. 2. I think a cheaper Spyder would do BRP well, and the RS is the natural platform to push the price down. Alas...

    Tried a Sena 20 today

A few thoughts: -- Me and the GF have used SMH10s for years, love them, can't rave enough. I use for music solo, or intercom together. Can be a little tricky to pair them, but they work. -- Bought my brother a Sena 20 last year for Christmas. He loves it, **BUT**... he can't get the...

    Heated clothing questions

Before going too crazy, I find that heated gloves and a heated jacket liner (wear it close to the skin, just atop a thin base layer like Under Armor helps) are plenty on the Spyder-- I own Gerbing gear, always been happy. For legs on the Spyder, the lower frame blocks a lot of wind from the...

Gloves - How long should they last

Count me in the "reasonable customer service" camp. They're a (good, IME) retailer, not the manufacturer-- Revzilla offers a complete range of products at low to very high prices, but at some point it's caveat emptor, particularly for a worn item that's ultimately the manufacturer's...

Hey, a little credit here-- I beat that other thread by six hours! :ohyea:

    Leaner! Leaner! Leaner!

The good news is Honda is probably the most affordable quality manufacturer out there-- most every bike they have is among the best values in their segment. So if they built something like this they'd probably do it at a better price point than BRP. The bad news-- if they build it, customers...

    Leaner! Leaner! Leaner!

Ooooooooooh... Honda Neowing concept: http://www.gizmag.com/honda-neowing-leaning-three-wheeled-concept-motorcycle/39654/ I'll be the broken record: the RS replacement ought to be a leaner to further differentiate itself from the pack, especially now that the F3 is out.

Can we have a reasonable discussion about this?

Well, I don't know if anyone has ever called me "reasonable" before... :joke: But aside from the curt BRP corporate position that Bob summed up above, there are three arguments against it: 1. Function. As noted, you don't *need* a handbrake on a Spyder, anymore than you *need* a handbrake on...

    2016 Reactions?

Honestly, after sleeping on it a few days, the only real complaint I have is that you can't more F3 combinations with that snazzy red frame on the Magnesium models. Yeah, minor complaint, but I ain't going to be buying one right now, so my opinion is short!

    Police get it right

Okay, I really want those side and top cases to be options for the public (sans emergency lighting, of course).

    The Verdict--2016

I hadn't thought about it before, but I agree with the contention above: the bagger look really ages the F3's appeal, which is 180 degrees opposite to BRP's entire marketing campaign for the F3. Money well spent, guys. :joke: Makes me wonder whether all their market research bombed when...
