• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

You want us to just shut up and stay home?? That's an awfully insensitive attitude to your fellow Spyderlovers up north isn't it? People in the northern states want so much to attend Spyderfest but are largely excluded simply because of where they live and the time of year it's held. How would...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

This may be true for rain, wind, and chill which are merely annoyances but when you factor in snow and ice you are now talking life and death when it comes to motorcycles, so don't be so judgmental. People who like to ride in rain, wind, and chill are road warriors, people who intentionally ride...

How much voltage to start the Spyder

Amps = Current (see my post above). When I explain voltage and current I use the following analogy: Think of a water hose, voltage is the water pressure, and amperage (current) is the volume of water moving through the hose. If you had a garden hose with 100 psi of water pressure (voltage) and...

How much voltage to start the Spyder

It's not just the voltage in play here, it's the available amount of current which does the real work. Battery voltage indicates the state of charge of a battery or how much current it has left to deliver (Power equals voltage times current). Here is a chart showing the state of charge of a...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Spring comes to the North more than a month in a half later then it does in Missouri. Here in VT the leaves still have yet to emerge. So until we hit better weather much further south, traveling to Spyderfest in April is the equivalent of anyone in the Missouri climate region traveling in late...

    HID Lights & Battery Drainage

With the BRP HID kit there is no more drain on the battery during use than with the standard halogens. In fact HID's use less power to create more light. In the case of an an aftermarket HID kit if it were properly designed and installed there should be no issues either. Power to the HID's is...

    Gloves

I've found these to be the best of the best: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/held-air-n-dry-gloves but the high price reflects that. But they do replace two pairs of gloves: summer riding gloves, and wet weather gloves so at least for me they were worth it. Held gloves are so well made they...

Have you had to replace Vacuum Hoses

I used to own a Kaw KLR-650. These bikes had a strange issue with various rubberized components. Some people experienced severe cracking and failure while others had no problems at all. Eventually it was determined that Kawasaki had on occasion received bad batches of rubberized components from...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Having the event in May would greatly help us folks way up North. April is not motorcycle friendly here. If we want to attend Spyderfest in April we have to deal with temperatures in the 30's, the possibility of freezing rain or even snow, mud season, and roads that are still dangerously frost...

In my dealings with BRP I have found that they do not respond to emails. You need to call or write (snail mail).

    Spyderfest Weather?

The snow finally melted at my house just last week, and the temperatures are finally getting out of the 30's and 40's here in VT so the 60's and 70's predicted for Spyderfest sound like paradise! :bbq:

    selling stuff at Spyderfest

Should make some ground rules to weed out the offenders like anyone selling more than one of the same item. Or limit the number of total items sold.

    Marvel Mystry Oil

Bell Performance XMO is a modern formulation (2009) that does not use alcohol. You were fortunate to have seen a visual demonstration showing an effective additive as opposed to some others. We all need to be well informed about any additives we choose to use. There are great ones, good ones...

    selling stuff at Spyderfest

That's a shame, it would be a very good opportunity for Spyder owners to "recycle" their unused stuff. Don't see how this would upset anyone.
