• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

Unfortunately we've both no doubt used up all the patience of the good people of this forum on a subject that has nothing to do with motorcycles so we can't continue this discussion here or I would indeed love to counter your latest browser delusions. Now the trolls are coming so our time is up...

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

Wow, another severe case of denial (or with only one post here you may be just a troll) but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. IE is in fact on its way out - believe it. You don't need to take my word for it just take off your blinders and do your homework. Firefox and Chrome have already...

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

Sigh. I really don't want to get into this with you but you keep coming at me so now I have to respond. Everyone else please forgive me and go ahead and skip this post if you're already weary of technological mumbo jumbo and browser wars. I say this with absolutely no malice intended, so please...

GS/RS - in praise of simplicity

:agree: I think the GS/RS series are without question the most reliable Spyder models. To date my 2011 RS-S has been trouble free. Good thing too because my warrenty is up and I didn't reup for the BEST extension.

Utterly tragic. My thoughts are for the families of these brave souls.

    Spyder rearended & burned

Best wishes and a speedy and full recovery to them both. I suggest to everyone to increase your tail and brake light visibility with something like the Custom Dynamics Triple Play. It also add the strobe feature. Do whatever you can to try to get people to see you and avoid tragedies such as this.

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

I hope the web app developers in your world get their act together and port their code over to the browsers that most people are actually using or else your customers will be waving to you in their rear view mirrors. nojoke

3 year old gas.. Still Good???

You're thinking of putting three year old gas in your $$,$$$ Spyder just to save $15? Do you have any idea how much it could cost you in repair bills? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no freakin way dude.

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

That's because whoever wrote the applications decided to use IE as the standard, which was a big mistake. I develop complex database driven web based applications. If I optimize them for IE then they'll work poorly for every other web browser. If I optimize them for all other major web browsers...

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

Not anymore, IE is actually the worst of all the major browsers to incorporate the latest HTML, XHTML, Javascript, and AJAX web standards. So bad in fact that they are actually seriously holding back web development advancement. Microsoft is under the delusion that they can still dictate...

    Internet Explorer 10 question...

:agree: Chrome is a -far- better browser, it's faster, more secure, and has features that considerably enhance browsing. The switch from IE is relatively painless. Make the move, you'll be glad you did and you'll never look back.

    Kewlmetal fails to communicate

Wouldn't worry, this is standard operating procedure for Kewl Metal. They make great products but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. They'll come through in the end though if you can wait. If not just cancel the order.

    Gremlin Bells---not that I am superstitious.....but

Love that episode of Twilight Zone! One of the best. Don't know why Shatner was so shaken up over a mere gremlin though, he faced far worse on the Enterprise. Gremlins are cute I but I wouldn't invite a vampire into my house though. That could be trouble and I think Buffy is now retired...

    Gremlin Bells---not that I am superstitious.....but

If you're not superstitious then a gremlin bell will have no use to you (other than perhaps a nice conversation piece). ;)

Do you think this will work?

Yes, although the majority of wraps are made from fiberglass, there are a few newer basalt fiber wraps available. I myself used DEI's "titanium" basalt fiber wrap. To call it "ceramic" though is very misleading, it is more of a stone or mineral wool like asbestos. The primary advantage of basalt...

Do you think this will work?

Good gosh, I hope you didn't think I was flaming you, my posts were only to present a view of my experiences and research, nothing else. I thought a balance of opinions was in order so others would not make the same mistake as I did and so they could spend their money on more effective heat...
