• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmets with built-in Bluetooth - Any recommendations?

ABSOLUTELY agree with JCTHORNE - go for helmet fit FIRST. NOW, if the Schuberth C3Pro happens to fit right, they have a swap-in bluetooth unit that fits in the bottom of he helmet. Very nice. Especially like the built-in buttons on the bottom edge.

    Schuberth C3 Users

We love the C3's. Nobody can touch their drop-down sun shield. Best ventilation yet from Schuberth. Had them for over a year. If needed would replace with same (unless the design has been eclipsed). Sorta wish we'd gone for the Bluetooth thingy, but then the bikes are not set up for Bluetooth (yet).

Planning tour, Boise to Banff, Summer, requesting local knowledge

+1 on Ice Fields Parkway - including stop at the ice field at the pass! Jasper is well worth the run north, plus there is a wonderful lake not far southeast of Jasper - take the boat tour out to Spirit Island. While in Banff area, don't miss the grand hotel nor the top of the ski hill - can see...

What do/did you do for a living?

Was a computer guy for 35 years. Then became a budget solution. 2 weeks later they hired a high school kid for the position. Opened a handyman business to blend with our healing practice. Love the commute. Ok, the other commute made more riding miles. :-|

    Gerbing's Heated Gear!

Before I lost my 20mi commute, I rode as long as the roads were clear - down to 6 above. Gerbing made it possible. W used to get cold at 50F. Then one day I came home, riding gear was out: we were riding to dinner. At 35F. 29 on the way home. We were toasty.
