• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Riding boots

I've been using CruiserWorks for years. USA-made, and mine are waterPROOF. Haven't tried the current version, but if they are using the same lasts, should be good to go

Used to ride any thing above 12F. As I have aged minimum temp has edged up. Now more like 35F AND clear roads.

    want info on 2008 spyders

Similar to other vehicles, depends on the owners. We had a Premier Edition 08 GS for 10 years. Always started. Even original battery (!!). Was a very fun ryde. Sold because W could no longer operate the clutch - too stiff - and I already had my 15 RT. The 08s had a couple recalls (done well...

Rolling in Neutral down my driveway

Wow. That would be @#%!! surprising, if not dangerous! Will be watching this post to see what the knowledgeable ones say. (I have an SE6 as well) I for one would not try that, as I would want to be in gear when I got there and ready to go. As for the oil change/service, I let them do mine...

    Russell vs. Ultimate seat

both Have had both. For l-o-n-g trips I may prefer a Russell. Have Comfort seat on current Ryde. Seems to work well for now.

    Gear Possiblities

I did the BRP vented shield on my RT - works quite well. The plus no buffeting. Still have the Aerostich Roadcrafter which works up to 80-something depending on humidity. Joe Rocket mesh (10 Years plus) for warm/hot. Love the adjustable under mirror for thingies.

Prospective new Spyder rider-couple of questions, please?

After V-Rods, you would probly prefer the F3-? I suggest trying the RT also. It might surprise you. After all, if you are test-riding, test more than one. As to the course, you may find it helpful. I set up the course in the manual when we got W's Spyder. I had quite a few miles on her Spyder...
