• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    H1N1 flu vs RT-AC flu

I tend to agree with Scotty. This is really a second generation of the Spyder and will I think incorporate the lessons learned from the first generation. When you challenge the edge though you can find some snags and that's about all i have heard about the first generation Spyders. It seems...

    safety question

Yes it is the inside wheel that will try to lift. I think of it as the same thing as "hanging" off the bike only shifted forward as much as passable. I also try to get as much weight on the peg on that side also. I was thinking about putting a strut back from the front to the rear or crossing to...

    Answering a PM

Hayden I tried again it still would not let me send a PM to you. Yes in KS you do need a motorcycle endorsement. When I moved back in 05 they just saw that I had a valid license and a motorcycle endorsement and gave them to me no test written or driving. My tags and personal property tax here...

    Answering a PM

Someone sent me a PM. When I tried to answer their account had been set up not to allow PMs. So if you want a response to your PMs make sure you go to your User CP and check the permissions to allow someone to PM you.:dontknow:

    Exhaust Recommendations-no 2 Bros

I have a MBRP black ceramic pipe that I had on for about 3 months I went to the TBR alum. pipes for the look with the graphics. If you like the sound of the two brother pipes you will like the MBRP the sound is close to the same. I was going to put the pipe in the classified ads but have not...

    H1N1 flu vs RT-AC flu

I have to get a flu shot this year or make that two since I also have to get the H1N1 shot. I am going to contact employee health (I work at a VA medical center) and see if I can get an RT-AC shot as well. Since I like the Blue and they won't be out till spring anyway why go with the black RT-S...

Ride Spyder with a car driver's license - list

Unless it has changed that should be it. I heard that all 50 states consider it a motorcycle but that three did not require a M license and that California was one. I also heard that there were three states that had helmet laws that did not require a helmet on the Spyder. I don't know what three...

    First trip in the rain

I saw many of the Army surplus bikes when I was a kid. You could pick up a new one for $50.00 still in the crate and packed in cosmoline(probably spelled wrong but my spell-check is not old enough to know what cosmoline is). A lot of these ended up as the first bobbers and choppers. Rain drill...

Warranty Question if anyone is awake this morning

Even if it is the Best Plus that covers one service a year you might do better to pay for the 600 and use it on the 12000 which is more expensive. Depending of course on how long of a trip you are taking and how many. Some of the Spyders have turned 12000 in one year easy but with three the...

    Spyder/Cycle Questions

welcome If you have never ridden a bike you hear more than in a cage. This tends to alarm new riders but that is normal. If you put a big windshield on you will hear new noises that you could not hear before also. This is also normal. You do need to find the source of the noise to make sure what...

    studded snow tires

Burr makes me cold just looking at it. I have no desire to ride in snow. The only time I like to see snow is in a snowglobe. Thats why I lived in Calif. for 30 years. :spyder2:

Considering a RT, need your help

One thing that no one has mention about the GoldWings (or I missed it) is the closing of the Ohio plant and taking production back to Japan. Now I know that quality and reliability will not go down. But the price will go up. They have a higher labor cost there and there will be shipping costs...

    1st ride & a question

I agree with all the comments on the mirrors and the air pressure in front. Don't put to much in as the bike starts feeling like it wants to dart around. As for the "tank" area they have a nice tank bag that breaks it up and is very useful. Or you can put graphics on there are a lot of good...

    Front Tire Feed back

Take a look at the Proxes T1-R by TOYO they are V rated some of the Spyderlovers have used the rear and had good reports. Still waiting for the mileage don't think anyone has had them on long enough to tell. They are V rated 240 KPH or 150MPH well over what we would do. The fronts have the same...

Nibble at the Bait & You'll Get Caught

I Knew it was coming I told you just nibbling is what got the catfish caught. I would love to join you and order a blue one but I would have to sell mine first and even then I don't want payments so I will keep saving up. The standard options on the AC are just what I want. I don't ride two up...
