• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    N43E Trilogy on closeout

Just got my Nolan Trilogy and trying it on. To keep my ears from getting scrunched, I'm going to use a "skullcap" like I've been doing with my Schuberth. That makes it a lot easier to put on and take off with glasses on and ears remain in one piece. Very snug fit which is good for new helmet I...

    Spyder Chuckanut ride Sunday 30th???

:bbq:Yes indeed, good ride, good food and new friends. I'll be here through September so let's do it again with more folks. Maybe we can call our selves the Skagit/Whatcomm, Spyder Riding and Eating Society. That's SWSRES. Well, that really doesn't work - but we'll think of something.:dontknow:

    Gettysburg

On one of my trips to Gettysburg, I went on a tour with James McPherson, who wrote Battle Cry of Freedom (Pulitzer prize winner). An amazing experience, especially walking across the field tracing Pickett's charge. We (40) starting out across the field side by side and every once in a while he...

    RT seat removal tool

Others have called it a "rotating ratchet" and that they were carried at Lowes. SO I went there this morning and had 2 toolguys looking all over for a "rotating ratchet." Then one of them gets a brain wave and says "you mean the double drive?" And we went right to it. It's a Kobalt Double Drive...

    Adjustable handlebar question

Actually the third one for the up and down is under a rubber cap just below the cap where the GPS mounting hole is. The question is if the 2 adjusting bolts covered with some sort of cap themselves?

    Adjustable handlebar question

For anyone who has the new adjustable handlebars, are the 2 adjusting bolts covered by some sort of plastic or rubber cap on yours? Mine are bare and I'm thinking maybe the tech misplaced them?? Thanks.

    Spyder Chuckanut ride Sunday 30th???

Timing-wise - leaving Farm House around 9 would get to Skylarks around 9:45 with moderate ride (i.e. not Rocky Racer) ;) on the Chuckanut. Figure on heading over to 9 for the ride south after breakfast.

    GPS mount

I'm mounting my Nuvi with Ram mounts - I have the adjustable handlebars - there's a screw hole in the middle for the factory GPS mount. Using the Ram metric ball/screw and a short arm to the Nuvi bracket. Haven't got the ball yet so can't send a picture but when I get it, I will. Send me an...

    Helmet Fit

Stevedfive, Not sure if you're right about their return policy. I'm waiting for my shipment to come from them and the way I read their return policy is it will cost you $7.45 to get a "prepaid" return label and then that amount will be deducted from your refund. Or you can pay to ship it back...

    How are the 2013 models?

I say it to myself every time I climb on and to others whenever they stop to listen to me - my new RT-S (build date May 8) is so many light years ahead of the 2009 RS I had that it's amazing to me. Of all the Harleys I had, the one BMW and the other Spyder, it is undoubtedly (to me) the most...

    N43E Trilogy on closeout

Left this under miscellaneous but it should have been here: 'nother question - when the chinbar is installed and the shield is fully down on the Nolan Trilogy, for those of you who have one, is there a good seal?? I'm thinking of winter riding with my Schuberth modular and the total...

Thanks Patti. 'nother question - when the chinbar is installed and the shield is fully down on the Nolan Trilogy, for those of you who have one, is there a good seal?? I'm thinking of winter riding with my Schuberth modular and the total lack of cold air coming into the helmet when the...

What to do with left over Honda, Yamaha and Harley tee shirts...

When I left the Harley world and moved to the BMW world (a few years before moving to the Spyder world in 2011) I gathered up all the Harley shirts and donated them to the Elks Club and they took them to the local vet domiciliary. They were very appreciative for the 60 tee shirts from all over...

    Throttlemeisters?

Anyone installing throttlemeisters along with cruise control? Aside from the looks and the bar end weights, any value to installing them? Just interested and trying to decide what to do with my set of the old RS.
