• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Heat in the "cockpit"

YES, I DO... I do understand what he is saying. Body temperature is 98 .... when you sit on the seat for a period of time, the seat becomes at 98 degrees like your butt. So, 102 is only 4 degrees more, therefore not really burning hot...... Really simple to understand, when you want to...... ;)

    Acceptable front tire width

Use 175/55R15..... ....just use 175/55R15 and it with be a direct fit. We do it on 3 of our Spyders, both original and sport type fenders, and all is fine. ( we use Kumho 175/55R15 KH17 model . very wide sole, excellent contact with the road. Drawback, heavy to turn when not rolling at all)

Towing a trailer, and forces on the coupler..

Not an engineer..... I am pretty much convinced that when BRP designed the hitch for our Spyders, they assigned engineers to do so.!!! And as mentioned in the previous posts, no problems have been reported in all the years..... So....:dontknow:

    Carbon buildup

What about your engine oil ? What kind of oil do you use. What about your oil level ? Do you add a lot between changes? Could it be that the air filter is "polluted" with oil, and restricting air flow? Also someone already asked what is your typical shift rpm ? If normally shifting below...

Those that have replace your rear tire on your RT?

Sorry, but the analogy to F1 is quite valid.!!! Very light vehicule on big tires. That equation means low psi. A tire is built to be flexible. As a matter of fact, the rubber compound is built with a lubricant in it that is released by heat and flex of the sides during usage. This prevent the...

Those that have replace your rear tire on your RT?

Question for our new tire expert.... I have been wondering for a long time......why don't we have solid tires? Why do the tires manufacturers bother to publish tire inflation charts? ..... with rubber filled tires we would avoid tire flexing, overheating, tire puncture....and all the...
