• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What gas does the Spyder take???

I asked the lead mechanic at the dealership this question ( I've got a '13 RT Ltd). The answer was that to use more than 87 is a waste of money and not neared. I use my bike a lot so he said don't worry about ethanol treatment unless it is going to get a lot less use.

    What's your opinion ?

In the end, ask He sounds like a good dealer the way you describe him but maybe someone questioned if everything was done and he wants to make sure that people don't question his honesty. My guess. Is that if you ask him he will respect you and tell you what the story is and he'll probably...

    A must have

Have read a lot of posts about what to take on longer rides and have seen everything from clothes, certain tools, cleaning supplies, etc. No one has mentioned (unless I missed it) a small First Aid Kit with one important upgrade. I always have one on the bike that I kept when I traded a Lexus...

    Tires and Lights

Blue lights I agree with Bluenight911. Blue lights not allowed in many states. Ride with them in FL and you will get stopped. My buddy thought I was yanking his chain when I told him that after he put them on. His learning curve was complete in less than a week.

    Blue Ridge Day Ride.

Mile Markers Google Blue Ridge Parkway and there is a map that prints on 4 letter size pages with indicators every 10 miles. You can also print a list they have of where gas is located. You should be able to find it. If not you can PM me with your email address and I will scan them and end...

    Blue Ridge Day Ride.

Closed portion of BRP The BRP is completely closed to any traffic for road and tunnel work between Mile Post 364.1 and 375.6 until summer. Just checked it for a ride I'm doing with 4 other guys last week of May just before Memorial Day. In our case, we are taking the Auto Train out of...

Smoky Mountain rally 2016 - NEW MANAGEMENT

Making this my first Spyder meeting. Making plans to be there. My wife doesn't do long rides so I will borrow my friends trailer to take the Spyder on. Going to combine it with a stop in Helen, GA for their month long Octoberfest which everyone tells me is great. This will be my first...

    Instrument lighting mode

Glad this came up Thanks for all the thoughts posted. Used the info late this afternoon and covered the sensor. Tomorrow I'll determine what I really think but I think it may be a plus in this FL sun that will help with the glare and seeing the info.

Looking for Trailer to haul my ST Limited

I borrowed a 6x10 alum a craft my friend has and it hauled great. It had a drop down tailgate but not long enough so I used a couple of car ramps to extend it and used a 2x12 for the center wheel to get it on. Worked out well and if you find a good used one for sale you can always have an...

Inaccurate speedometer / thermometer / clock

Every bike made is off by 2 - 5 mph unless it is a police bike with a calibrated speedometer. GPS speed is as close as you'll come to being calibrated. I've known people with bikes speed being off 4 & 5 mph. As for he time, it just seems like BRP can't make one that stays on time and needs to...

What is the average age of Spyder owners?

71 in June. Went to 3 wheels last year as I was turning 70. A lot of the guys keep saying I should tell the truth and admit that I miss 2 wheels. I really don't. Having fun in the Florida sun on my Spyder.

Cruising on two wheels and now three, adjustment period?

What they said I just came off my Harley Ultra Classic and got the Spyder 10 months ago. My best find was this forum. After reading the do and don't info I learned fast! I was all over the place until I relaxed my grip more and made sure the front tires were both at the same psi and within .25...
