• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas shock for trunk

You just coil it on (screw it on). It won't be strong enough if you added a rack. Most people that added a rack got a 2nd shock to solve it once and for all. The 2nd hole works but you have to be very careful not to go too high as if you do the shock will compress fully and stop before the...

    Cable adjustment

For future info: There is no adjustment for the cable at the key area. There is an adjustment at the latch but it's the entire latch assembly not just the cable. Look at my Tri-axis handlebar install video and at the end of part 3, I show how to adjust everything. Bob

    2018 F3TV bluetooth FM radio

MC Dave and the Sena SM-10 with dongle cable. Works with 2 helmets. I know this works on previous years F3 not sure about 2018 but I don't think much changed on the F3 like it did on the 2018 RTs. Bob

Unable to connect Schuberth Bluetooth helmet to 2018 Spyder

Here is one of the negative review... Sounds familiar... "Sync'd easily to my phone but reset and tried to sync to the Bluetooth on my bike. Haven't been able to get it to sync. Instructions are unsat in my opinion. Regret the purchase. Guy at the dealership offered to help so he's my last...

Unable to connect Schuberth Bluetooth helmet to 2018 Spyder

I looked up your helmet and came across details on Revzilla. In the spec it lists nothing about it being "Bluetooth version 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, etc". Then the last line: "Note: The SRC System is only compatible with Schuberth C3 and C3W Helmets." So it appears they did not implement a full BT...

BajaRon Sway Bar Helm Joint Links

There is a torque spec... I would have to look it up in the Service Manual. But when I installed the links I guessed it as it's tight to get in there with a torque wrench. Clearly I went too light the first time since one got ever so slightly loose to cause the clunk.. :) Bob

BajaRon Sway Bar Helm Joint Links

The clunking is a lose bolt holding the links on. Of course when they put stock ones on it fixed it because they tightened the bolt! Had this very same thing happen to me and I just tightened all the bolts. Bob

pulled the trigger, now radio question

The radio is on the CAN-BUSS. If it doesn't show up on the dash then it's not talking to the system. It's simple to remove the panel (2 screws) over the radio and check the connection. Bob

My 2011 Can Am Spyder Brake Question

Same with my 2011 even after having a dealer flush and bleed. Back then the brakes were a common complaint with this exact thing. Spongy and a "pump" of the peddle hardens up the peddle a little. But trust I have had to stop HARD and they work. The new models with Brembo's solved all this. Bob

I doubt if this will do any good

Would be interesting to find out how BRP allows an APP. I am sure it is some code that is in the APP that BRP looks at to say "yes this app can be displayed on the system". From my understanding they don't block APPs they allow them. So not just any APP can show up. FYI Roger I use your APP...

Static interference using power connection with Midland CB?

Sorry I left out one thing. The 12V run from the battery to the dash is using a shielded cable that I grounded the shield to frame on both ends. I just did it that way knowing the engine noise and the fact the cable runs past the engine. I did not try without the shielded cable so don't know...

Static interference using power connection with Midland CB?

Frame ground yes does help... But a little factoid. The ground wire from the battery to the frame is like less than a foot :) It solve my Midland CB noise issues on my RT. Bob
