• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well.. Bikebandit.com doens't deserve any of our business.

It seems like a rather generalized feeling from the 2 wheeler community. I recently read a facebook post from a motorcycle assosciation asking if their members would consider riding a Spyder: Many responders were just vomiting on the Spyder, on how they thought it looked and on the "fact" that...

    Thank You!

I went down the same road and also replaced my Spyder with a two-wheeler. As you can see, I am still hanging around. There is a lot to be learned here, no matter what you ride. Stay safe. ...Ben...

Adding BRP Bluetooth Dongle - Questions Answered.

It is the nature of the beast. When the Spyder is turned off, the SM10 does not receive its power from the Spyder radio, so it uses its internal battery, which slowly depletes. Once the battery is drained, it will not pair until it has recharged for 5-10 mins, then it is OK. You can recharge...

    Replacing the Spyder

Thanks for the good wishes. You will definitely hear from me again. There are so many discussions in this forum about fuse block, GPS, battery tenders, tracking software, run-flat, lighting, bluetooth and countless other ones that I would be a fool to stop learning from you guys. I am sure i...

    Replacing the Spyder

I decided to go back to two-wheelers, and just bought a 2014 Yamaha FJR1300ES (Canadian version is black): I wanted to say thanks to all forum members for past help/advice. This forum is the most active and most helpful that I have seen so far. There is an AMAZING amount of collective...

    Bluetooth FM radio question

I was expecting that the antenna would be a challenge, it did not occur to me that the noise from the vehicule itself would be an issue. I am considering this radio for a motorcycle: I already have a working setup on the Spyder. In any case, it seems that such a bluetooth radio does not exist...

    Bluetooth FM radio question

Anyone knows a small FM radio that would have built-in bluetooth transmitter that I could pair directly with my Sena SMH10r Intercom and listen to FM radio ? I'd love to do it with my iPhone, but I want to avoid overloading my data plan. This is for an other non-spyder setup, and I would like...

CanAm / Sena SM10 Bluetooth Module and SMH10R Headsets - How to?

Mmmm... Some answers above on dead batteries may be misinterpreted, depending on how you read them... I've have had the identical setup since last April: SMH10r + BRP-sold SM10, installed in the rear trunk. Yes, with power unplugged, the SM10 will run approx 8hrs on battery before its internal...

    Sena SM-10 vs SM-10R

I have the 10R and the only complain is that I find it very hard to turn on/off with cold weather gloves. On the other hand, it is practically invisible with my black Nolan N104, where the mike boom is inside, and the battery is also hidden inside Nolan's hole the helmet core foam. Battery...

do any of our Canadian friends know of a

The TV shows listed above are probably your best bet, since they get national coverage. There are also 2 more consumer-oriented TV shows here, in Quebec, where BRP's headquarters are located: "La Facture" and "J.E.". They get air'ed on french channels, so they exposure would be less but it...

    zumo 390

I have the earlier 350 and I am very happy with it. I pre-plan all my rides to include as many roads I've never been on as possible, then forget about where I am and where I'm going and just follow the lady's directions and enjoy the road. Rock solid, reliable pairing with my Sena bluetooth...

    New Sena 20S

Ooops.. :opps: I kind of missed that line in the specs... To me its THE feature of that new product. If they start outselling other vendors because of this feature, we may finally start seeing a lot more cross-compatibility soon.:thumbup::thumbup: ...Ben...

    New Sena 20S

I noticed in the link to the "Sena Action Camera" preview: Interesting that they can do it to interface their camera with other intercoms, but they won't do it to let their intercom users interface with riders using other intercom vendors. ...Ben...

Question about the RT comfort seat.

All you get is the seat itself, no back rest. You can separately order a backrest to color match with your seat if you buy a seat of a different color. Here are some pics showing the difference between comfort VS regular seat. (Identical tools are placed on both seats to show the lumbar support...

    BRP Garmin GPS kit qustions....

In my case, I did not care about XM radio or playing songs from the GPS itself, so I bought the 350 instead of the 66x series. I installed the SENA Bluetooth adapter from BRP, so I still get the Spyder radio (or iPod via the aux connector) in my helmet, along with my phone, GPS and Bike-to-Bike...

    BRP Garmin GPS kit qustions....

I cannot tell what comes with the 660, but my 350 came with a gazillion parts for various RAM mount options, but no flat plate like I wanted. I ended up investing $6 for the plate (RAM-B-347U SKU:RAMB347 at GPSCity.ca) and a few dollars for the stainless steel hardware to mount it. The rest came...

    BRP Garmin GPS kit qustions....

Here's how I did it wit a 350. It has the advantage of keeping the road in your peripheral vision, versus looking down at the center of the handlebars. High-res version of these and more installation photos are available here: http://bchauvette.smugmug.com/Forums/Spyder-Forums/n-r9Fvb ...Ben...

Question about manual shift VS electric shift

I bought the SM5 and I am happy with it. On my '2011, the Neutral is a bit tricky to find. I bought the SM5 because first and foremost I am a control freak, but it was also cheaper and has less automation & controls that could go wrong. When I bought mine, there were a lot of posts about...
