• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Should I be worried? Air bag pressure going down between rides?

Should I be worried. 2019 RTL with air bag. It has always held air without any problems. I never hear the on board air compressor run. Must be my hearing. Last Sunday, I checked air in the air bag before leaving on a 2 hour ride and it checked at 25 lbs. Rode two hours and on my return it...

    Laser Alignment for Toe Issue

When I bought my 2019 RTL i quickly hated riding it for the reasons you have outlined. Twitchy, overly quick reaction to handlebar input and generally unsettling to ride. I came directly from 50 years of two wheel riding the the Spyder and thought I had really screwed up. The dealer I bought...

    Sunday ride in kansas

Almost 70 degrees Monday of this week and today in route to the office I see 4 degrees is the temperature and a strong wind out of the North. What a change! Supposed to warm to almost 50 degrees this Sunday so there is hope on the horizon for another weekend ride. Who knows. It's winter in...

Cruise control issues on 2021 RT - not working; anyone else?

Not picking on anyone, but if the 2020+ models have the same cruise control switch as the 2019 then I wonder if it is a user related problem. For months after getting my 2019 RTL I thought that the resume switch was malfunctioning but finally realized the the upstroke on the switch is more...

    Sunday ride in kansas

Got home from church and it was already 60 degrees. Decided it was a great opportunity to ride. A riding buddy and me took off on a little ride that turned into 300 miles in Feb. in Kansas. Me on my Spyder and him on his Harley. Great riding, little to no wind and in the low 60 s all day. Had a...

    Missing Rubber grommets - anyone have a source/item #??

I am missing a couple of the rubber grommets that hold the body panels in place. I had one new Honda grommet that was a perfect fit and used it. Now I need more and I didn't keep the package that the Honda grommet came in and don't know how to replace it. Can anyone provide a suggested source...

Hit a fox a couple of months ago

Peter - you do an awesome job of telling a great story, so I've got to add in my two cents worth with a rabbit hit on a motorcycle. Back before my Spyder days, I rode a 2012 Kawasaki C1400. One Sunday on a ride with my father in law I was on a back paved road and thought it was time to let the...

Any way to get around the Start up safety message?

I did as baxter posted above until I got the ECU flashed by Monster Fuel and had them eliminate the step that required the mode button to avoid. Now, just turn on, put my foot on the brake and it fires right up. I'll have to admit it's nice to not even have to mess with it and just get on down...

Thinking of doing The Tail Of The Dragon... any comments or suggestions?

I live in Kansas so the most accessible good riding is in Arkansas and Missouri. I note you live in Missouri so your already there. Several years ago, the need to go to ride the TOD was an itch that had to be scratched and so I did that and spent some time riding it and associated roads. To me...

How would you rate your Spyder Dealer?

The two dealerships in Kansas that I am familiar with are the dealer in Topeka, Ks and the dealer in Wichita, Ks. Bought my 2019 RTL from the Topeka dealer and they were great to deal with and their service department is run by a straight up guy that really took care of my bike and the additions...

***** What Tires are on YOUR Spyder - Details Please *****

Spyder: 2019 RTL Type of Riding: 40% touring and 60% very spirited curvy roads. Ride apx. 7,500 miles per year. ECU flashed to Stage two by Monster. What did you do to your Spyder today?

Nothing today, but yesterday installed my Ultimate seat with gas door and backrest. Then set about getting the backrest set at just the right angle. That always takes me several long rides to find the sweet spot. First time out with my Stage two Monster ECU flash. Had a great 250 mile ride with...

    2021 Spyder RTL CB Radio

I can tell you what I did to obtain usable CB Radio on 2019 RTL. Simply stated I didn't want to deal with Can Am electronics and its various quirks. Installed a J&M 2003CB handlebar mounted with a blue tooth dongle. J&M unit has its own headsets and intercom(which isn't very user friendly)...

    Sticky thread for tires?

I think it is a great idea to create a "sticky" thread on tires and sizes for many of the reasons above stated. I don't know, but think that only one of the administrator's can create such a thread and there would be some necessary editing of the existing information to give it a meaningful...

Compare a 500 mile ride on a Spyder with same on 2 wheels?

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but I came to the Spyder after 60+ years on two wheels. Multiple Gold Wings, Yamaha Venture Royals, a BMW 1200 RT and my favorite of the bunch a Kawasaki C14. I bought the 2019 RTL SE6 without ever having ridden a Spyder, but I can tell you for sure had I taken a...

Anyone tried an RLS a/mkt exhaust on a 2020+ RT Ltd?

I installed the RLS Torpedo muffler on my 2019 RTL just a month ago and love it and the sound from it. I did not do a Cat delete just change out the muffler. Great upgrade in my opinion and Rick is great to work with. I think the "Sold Out" banner that he puts up is his attempt to protect...

Need a Seat Strut with more lift - any suggestions?

My earlier post would refer to a 2019 or earlier RT and not the new model with a split seat. I was replying originally to a post from an owner of a 2014 RT. Post 2019, I have no idea. Frankly, I didn't realize that 2020 and up had a strut.

Need a Seat Strut with more lift - any suggestions?

I ordered this item from Amazon, and it fit perfectly. It has more lift than the OEM but not too much as to be problematic. Literally, just plug and play. All fittings are same as factory took less than 5 minutes to install. The Amazon details are, SACHS STABILUS GAS SPRING WINDOW (SG359011). I...

A day early, but still had fun

I did the same thing, absent the granddaughter. Rode about 75 miles on the RTL by myself yesterday. Tooday it is 12d and snowing in Ks so I think I will not make my usual New Years Day ride. Texted a friend who usually rides with me to see if he wants to ride today. Don't expect to even receive...

2020 RTL - COTTON INDOOR DUST COVER (is one made)?

I always cover my RT when staying overnight away from home with a Nelson Rigg 1/2 cover, which is water proof. At home it does no good to cover the bike in the garage as my wife's cats consider a cover as an invitation and set up housekeeping on the seat under the cover. The only solution I can...
