• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A Special Announcement

I disagree with Ricz, there are three ways to deal with a disagreement with a woman and only one of them work, concede early and often. That may not bring an end to the argument but will speed you toward resolution. Anyway, congratulations to ARtraveler. I am blessed by being married to a...

New Owner Tire pressure - what should I run in the stock rear?.

In my opinion, with OEM Kendas or Kenda Kanines, I believe that the book suggests 28 rear and 20 in front. I run my rear tire at 28 and the fronts at 18. I have Kenda Kanine K20 all the way around. If the fronts are any higher than 19 then the bike is squirreley to me but that a subjective...

Spam emails associated with this site?? .

Until about 60 days ago I was receiving about 50 emails per day. None were associated with this site and most were spam. I began methodically unsubscribing from each and every one of them. It took some time and effort on my part but I was rewarded by eliminating the spam. Now, I receive...

Now we need to be on the lookout for E15 gas!

The problem isn't octane it is the presence of a greater concentration of ethanol in the fuel than the seals and internals of the fuel injection system in the Spyder is designed to handle without damage. All the octane boost in the world won't fix that problem. Don't know the answer to the...

    Monster Fuel Injection ECU enhancement

I also went to Stage II, because I saw comments on this forum where others indicated that they went to Stage I and then sent the ECU in to change to Stage II. I also carry enough BoostTane for four full tanks of 87 gas to get it to 93, since I ride in rural Arkansas frequently and with some...

What CB Radio for 2020 RT Ltd?

I have a 2019 RTL and if I could have found the unit could have installed the factory unit but because of all the criticism of the factory intercom I opted to avoid the factory unit entirely. I didn't want a handheld unit rigged to work and had experience with J&M CB 2003 and there is a blue...

2020 RT with Sway Problem - need advice

Laser alignment, sway bar(which you have), balance tire inflation(I ride 18 front and 28 back on Kanines), loosen grip, relax and seat time and all the jittery steering goes away with time. When I got my first Spyder last year about this time, I thought I had really screwed up buying it. Now I...

Anyone using Octane Booster in their Spyder? Pros & Cons?

I agree with everyone's comments, BUT, if you have your ECU flashed then maybe not. I had the Monster Stage II flash which requires always at least 91 octane and preferably 93 octane fuel. At the recommendation of Monster I am using BOOSTane whenever I cannot buy at least 91 octane fuel. Since I...

    South Texas Laser Alignment locations?

I live in Kansas, so no experience with any of these listed dealers featuring the Rolo Alignment but this link should help find someone: http://www.spydercomfort.com/dealerstx.htm I do know that when I had my Spyder Rolo Aligned it made all the difference in the world as far as riding...

    Going for a ride -

CONGRATS!!!!! Never put my RT in hibernation this winter and was able to ride most weekends. Not able to take a serious ride until mid-May when I will spend a week in Arkansas on the Spyder. My favorite place to ride. Anyway, glad you could get it out on the road.

What are the Alignment Settings Specs?

Just my .02 worth but you would be much better off going to someone that has the ROLO Laser alignment equipment specifically set up for a Can Am Spyder. There is no adjustment for caster or camber just toe and the rear tire needs to be set in alignment to the front. Also, once aligned the...

    Questions for SENA owners

To protect what's left of my hearing from the repetitive road and wind noise. I started wearing ear plugs 10 years ago when I noticed that I was suffering some loss of hearing which I attributed to motorcycle riding. Also, it makes a long day of riding much less tiring when protected from the...

    Front Sprocket Failure

You don't need to even take the shock bolt out. My experience was that I loosened the bolt in the front sprocket then just jacked up the rear of the Spyder, released the parking brake and walked the belt off of the back sprocket while turning the back tire by hand. Used a gear puller to remove...

    Membership by state

There must be a lot of Kansas members that do not regularly visit the forum and look at "What's new". Kansas City(or Overland Park) is three hours + from my home base. I know there are some members in Hutchinson which is my home base but never see any posts from them. I would be somewhat...

I would be interested in obtaining a list of Kansas members with enough information to determine what part of the state they reside in. How could I get that information. Membership list doesn't appear to be divided by location. Thanks,

8th Annual Memorial Ride of Wife's Passing Headed from WI to Oklahoma this year

Not from Oklahoma but from Kansas and I ride down in Oklahoma and Arkansas regularly. Highway 59 at Miami, Oklahoma to junction with Highway 10 then 10 to Tahlequah, OK is a nice ride then back on 59 at Tahlequah to Ok 1 at the beginning of the Talimena Drive is not that bad either. Talimena...

    Kanine pressure

Tire pressure is a subjective decision, so with that caveat, I run 18lbs in front and 28lbs in the rear. It is my opinion that the front K20's are sensitive to pressure and anything over 18 to 20 makes the bike seem twitchy but at 18 it is rock solid. Just my opinion so take it for what ever...

Too old? Trying to be realiistic.

If you enjoy the experience of riding a motorcycle then you should not give up on the idea of having a Spyder. I rode two wheels for literally 60 years and had many and varied bikes in the final years some seriously fast sport touring bikes. Last year I was in the hospital with Covid and when I...

How low do you let tire pressure go before adding air?

To more directly answer your question, I have K20 tires(Kenda's new replacement tire that seems to do better than OEM tires) and run the front at 18lbs and the back at 28lbs. Since the front tires seem to be really sensitive to tire pressure I do not let them vary more than 2lbs either way...
