• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too hot to handle - heat on inner thighs fm glovebox - any suggestions?

2019 RTL three cylinder 1330. I noticed last week and then again today in a big way that the heat on my inner thighs by the little glove compartment was just unbearable when riding in the heat. Engine temperature was normal or a little less than usual so no overheating problem but the engine...

Anyone using a newer Tom Tom GPS?

Is there anyone out there using a newer model of the Tom Tom GPS. Previously I have run a Garmin which I discarded because the display was not adjustable and was too dim to read in bright sunlight. I know the new models of Garmin are supposed to be better. I have been using guidance on my smart...

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

Received my notice of recall in the mail today. It reads as if the temporary repair does not involve the replacement of the front sprocket but something else undisclosed and the permanent fix involves the replacement of the front sprocket with a new model yet to be produced. So long as my bike...

Any way of Locating a forum member by location?

I agree with the OP, it would be handy to be able to locate members of this forum by location. I am a past member of a Gold Wing and a Kawasaki Concours group and in both of those forums they even published an annual book you could keep on the bike to locate members by location with information...

Considering a New exhaust with just a bit more rumble - any suggestions?

I installed a RLS Torpedo Series Exhaust on my 2019 RTL and left the catalytic converter intact. I like the sound which isn't obnoxious. It's a triple so don't expect to ever have it make a "potato potato" sound but it does have a great added sound and the guy at RLS is fantastic to work with...

    Too hot to ride????

Planning on riding to Harrison Arkansas on 6/25 and spending Sunday and Monday going to Hot Springs then on to Mena Monday and spending Monday night at Tallequah OK. then back home Tuesday. Should I rethink this plan and wait until Fall? I don't usually mind the heat but the weather, humidity...

2021 Ryker traded - New Kawasaki Concourse 14 replaced it

I went from a 2014 C14 to a 2019mSpyder RTL because of bad knees as a result of being in the hospital for a week with Covid in 2020 and then falling before fully recovered. Just could not deal with the top heavy bike and knew it would be a while before I could. Enjoyed the Kawa as it was a...

Auxilary lighting for night driving - anyone tried Denali D2's?

Mike - So where did you mount your added lights and how did you switch them. Just curious as I have a set of Denalis taken off a motorcycle before sale. As a result this would be a very inexpensive addition. I'm almost inclined to just switch them with the fog light switch. I don't like...

    FOBO Fun

After much consideration with regard to the rubber stems vs. replacement metal stems, I decided to just use the existing stems. Once installed it was obvious to me that there was no risk of the weight of the FOBO causing extra or dangerous stress on the rubber stems. The FOBO units weigh nearly...

Anyone found Phoenix Orange touch up paint? Where?

I got back home to my shop and ScratchesHappen Phoenix Orange Metallic is what I bought and do not think matches. Maybe it is my fault for not stirring the paint well enough in the bottle. With the amount of metallic in the paint it may be really sensitive to settling out of the ingredients. I...

Anyone found Phoenix Orange touch up paint? Where?

I was hoping to find someone that had successfully purchased Phoenix Orange touch up paint. I am not home where my supplies or I would post the name of the company selling the paint that did not match. There is so much metallic flec in the paint that it is hard to match. I even tried going to an...

Anyone found Phoenix Orange touch up paint? Where?

I own a 2019 RTL that is in the Phoenix Orange color and have multiple rock chips in the paint on the Frunk. I have looked everywhere for touch up paint to match with no success. I did find one company that claimed a match but the paint delivered was so far off that it could not be used. I know...

Arkansas in the rain - Spyder made my day!

I did climb Mt. Judea on 74 East bound out of Jasper and took 123 down to AR 7. About the 10 time I have ridden that route and always enjoy it. It was entertaining to see my 2 wheeled riding companions handling those 10 mph switch backs on the way down because I remember taking those corners on...

2nd oil change, 9300 miles or 1 year

Just my 2 cents worth and without any redeeming other value. I change the oil when I put the Spyder up for the winter whether it is 9000 miles or 200 miles. I do this because I believe(without any oil testing) that the oil deteriorates due to collected moisture from engine operation and that...

Arkansas in the rain - Spyder made my day!

Tuesday I planned to go North and East toward Mountain Home and ride 341 as usual but at the last minute decided we would get wet going North so went South again going out of Harrison on 43 and 74 down to Jasper. Looked like we would get wet if we continued South so took 74 up junction with 123...

Arkansas in the rain - Spyder made my day!

We are leaving for Kansas on Wednesday morning. For the last 10 years or so we have stayed at the Edelweiss Inn in Eureka Springs for the entire time in Arkansas. Prior to that we just stayed wherever we landed, but the Innkeeper is so accommodating at Edelweiss that we just come here and stay...

Arkansas in the rain - Spyder made my day!

Left Kansas Saturday morning for Eureka Springs, Arkansas on our annual Spring ride and a week in Arkansas. Almost 100 degrees by the time we arrived Saturday evening and we were all tired and hot. Got up Sunday and headed ride Ark. 7 to Russelville and on to Mt. Nebo which we haven ridden for...

I thought you guys were full of crap

I guess I'm lucky. My wife has decided that she doesn't like to ride but she loves to run the mower and do yard work. Sometimes I feel a little guilty when I'm out riding and she's mowing the lawn, but that feeling passes quickly. I did buy her a new JD Z trac 54" mower and she loves to run it...

    New rider, confession and question

Pull with the inside hand or push with the outside hand seem to be a matter of choice or at least it is with me. Perhaps because I came from 50 years on two wheels. In any case, pull with the inside hand just doesn't work for me and I push with the outside hand and seem to have much more...
