• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacing Camshaft Sensor - is there enough clearance for allen key type torx?

Here is an update. I loosened the bolt with a T27 torx key. It came in at an angle but got the screw started. The screw is a 6 mm with an 8mm hex head and a T30. The connector had oil in it. I ordered a replacement which had too small a hole for the 6mm screw. But while I had the new one...

    P0340 Replacing camshaft Position Sensor

How did you access the bolt to replace the sensor? The part has two reinforcing ridges, and I cannot get a wrench on it. The tab for the cable tie down is so close to the bolt that I cannot get a socket on it. I torx allen type key may work, but would be going in at an angle because of the...

Replacing Camshaft Sensor - is there enough clearance for allen key type torx?

I think long torx bits will hit the oil filter. I am thinking maybe something like this would work, but I don't have one to try...

Replacing Camshaft Sensor - is there enough clearance for allen key type torx?

Based on the error code, I will attempt to replace the CAPS on my 2016 RT-S. I have located what I believe is the sensor. It looks like a small torx bolt that needs to be dealt with. Very limited clearance. I think I can cut the cable tie that holds the sensor lead and one other lead...

I might give it a try.

Found Torn up foam under Spyder - where's the rodent?

I am going to inspect the other side also. Going down to 7 F tonight, so maybe not today. The wires on this side look ok, the ones I can see. Probably a myriad of them in the dash. Still wondering about the foam that is shown on the parts fiche that would go behind the side covers. No...

Found Torn up foam under Spyder - where's the rodent?

This part has basically all the form stripped off. Same color and texture as the pieces under the Spyder. There is some sort of circular access plug under the part. The parts fiche shows an access panel that probably can be taken off the part to reach the plug. Mine is just a solid piece.

Found Torn up foam under Spyder - where's the rodent?

i am taking the side panels off the left side. The attachments seem a little different from the videos I saw. perhaps did not pick the right ones. Anyway, I got the side covers off and having a bit of a mystery. The parts fiche I was viewing shows 2 large foam pieces for the upper and lower...

Found Torn up foam under Spyder - where's the rodent?

Backed out of the garage this morning for a ride after the roads cleared from snow. I noticed a good sized pile of black foam fragments under the Spyder, sort of under the engine. Is there anywhere that a mouse or rat could tear off pieces of foam for bedding? I put a game camera out last...

Loss of smoothness and a vibration 1800-2200 RPM

When accelerating from a stop, there is a noticeable lack of smoothness, and somewhat of a vibration between 1800 to 2200 RPM. I realize I should not be lugging the engine at low RPM, but I have to go through that range from a stop. Is this to be expected, or do I have a problem? Thanks

Are there any 1-up seats for the RT-S

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with For now, I decided to just sit on the backrest for awhile to stretch my legs.

Subscribe to threads not showing up in subscriptions folder

I have read the FAQ, and I can apparently subscribe to threads because the icon changes when I subscribe. But when I use the Quick Links pull down for Subscribed Threads, the Subscriptions shows empty. I tried logging out and back in, but nothing changed that I can see. My objective is to see...

Looking for F3 Accessory switched circuit, found these wires - oops!

What type was your circuit tester. If it was a light bulb, it could carry enough current to ground the circuit and activate something.

Are there any 1-up seats for the RT-S

I see your point. The highway pegs I have looked at (pictures) so far, it seems they just spread your legs out more, without an appreciable length gain. Of course, there may be some out there yet. Right now I sit on the backrest for awhile to ease the pain.
