• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

Here’s a ride most of you have probably never taken. I was looking for a day trip out of Kansas City and looked at scenic drives in Kansas. Yes, there are scenic drives in Kansas. I rode out to Council Grove where the Flint Hills Scenic Byway started. By the time I arrived with a riding...

    Shoulders hurt

I had pain between my back shoulder blades on my 2020 RTL. Lamonster's handlebar riser relieved my pain. Easy install. I did not have to cut the zip ties holding the cables.

Potholes - if you HAVE to hit one, which wheel??

I'd hit it with rear tire.

Top rack luggage bag, which one?

I have a bag from Ironside. It is about 16" by 12" and fit perfectly on my rear rack from Diamond R. This was a perfect size for my overnight bag. Overall, I've been happy with it. Lots of bags will work but i have two suggestions. Make sure your bag is waterproof. Mine has a rain cover...

Luggage bag for the RTL rear trunk??

It looks like you are asking about the 2021 RTL trunk. I am considering 2 of the Hopnel RT saddlebag liners. Dimension wise it looks like the trunk will hold 2 of them. One for me, one for the wife. Otherwise, also look for bags that fit the F3 trunk.

2020 RT Pass armrest install - What am I missing?!

My wife got to use the armrests on a day trip we made this past Saturday. Four hours out and back to meet up with another Spyder riding couple for lunch. She loved the armrests. Felt secure and comfortable. It is a shame that for the price, BRP couldn't make them fit better.

First Long Ride On My RTL

Thanks for sharing. Where you'll find the Spyder really shines on long trips is when the weather is less than perfect. Windy, rainy days will put many motorcycles on the sideline but the Spyder's stability can get you through about anything but the worst weather.

    A new ride for us

My neighbor and I will be heading down to Arkansas in a few weeks for a 4 day trip. We will hit the Pig'sTrail, Dragon, Magazine Mountan and Peel's Ferry. Two days total time in Arkansas.

Holiday In The Sun (a shakin_jake trip report)

Thanks for sharing. Great trips don't have to be a week long. It's a shame you lost a day and didn't make it to Key West. My big bucket list includes a trip to Alaska if the border ever re-opens. I also would like to go to Key West. I would then have visited both ends of the US. I figure...

    thinking about cross country ride?

Milryder - I did that trip in the fall of 2019. I spent some time with my wife and friends in Colorado first. Then my wife flew back to KC while I rode on to Phoenix. I don't know where in Arizona you are heading, but returning from Phoenix I stopped at Albuquerque and then Liberal, KS...

    thinking about cross country ride?

How far do you plan to travel and what distance do you expect to cover each day? Don't over think the trip. Long distance riding is my favorite time on the Spyder.

2020 RT Pass armrest install - What am I missing?!

Either by perseverance or stubbornness and a box cutter I made things fit. Instead of trying to use the rubber boot outside of the armrests, I put the armrests on top of the rubber boot. I got one side to fit ok but trimmed a little on the second one. I will try to add a picture to show the...

2020 RT Pass armrest install - What am I missing?!

This post is for 2020+ RTL owners who have installed the BRP Passenger Armrests. I broke down and paid for the armrests. Installation has been fairly simple. However, the rubber cover on the passenger heated grips is not fitting back into place in a functional, aesthetic manner. What was a...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

Milryder- I have not been an active member but there is a local Spyder riding group called KC Spyder Ryders. A quick Google search will find them for you.

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

I didn't worry about gravel in my belt. What was concerning me was the brake squealing. I was planning to continue my trip to Phoenix and I thought I would need to get my brakes replaced before I headed on to Phoenix. That was when I discovered that Spyder brakes do not like dirt and dust...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

At the end of our Breckenridge trip, Doug and Lisa headed on to Utah to see some friends of theirs. Carol caught a shuttle to the Denver airport and flew home while I rode out to Phoenix to see a college buddy of mine. I'll save that trip for sharing later. I hope to see many more members...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

Our last big day trip was riding up the Boreas Pass. It turned out to be longer and bit more challenging than we had anticipated. The road itself was a dirt and gravel road with lots of washboard. I was always in first and switched up to second gear when the road leveled out. About halfway...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

Wherever you travel, always stop by the Visitor Center. We dropped in on the Breckenridge Tourist Center and discovered a few things to see and do we had not considered. One was taking a very short hike to see the Isak Heartstone Troll. The artist made it with second hand, reclaimed material...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

We arrived in Aspen later than we had planned. Carol had wanted to do a little shopping so she ran off while Doug and I waited for our food. Carol soon returned to inform us that she didn't need to shop much after all. Aspen stores were not catering to the bargain hunter. Got a picture of...
