• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You're a Long Way from Malibu... Dan

Enjoying your ride report. Sometimes it's just about getting out and experiencing life. I do hope to travel to the Florida Keys sometime in the next couple of years.

21 RT Passenger armrests - have they fixed the gap problem?

I installed the passenger arm rests on my 2020 RTL. The rubber boots gave me a headache. I trimmed the lower "lip" of the boot. This gave the boot more flexibility to fit and looks fine since the cut was underneath it.

    Trailer hitch compatibility - will a 2016 hitch fit a 2021 RT?

The hitch on my 2013 RT-S fit on my 2020 RTL. It is a Can-Am hitch. Not sure about other hitch manufacturers.

    Time for KOTT Grills

I went to a self-serve car wash later that day. The grasshoppers were extra crispy so a good portion of them just wiped off. I hosed down the rest as best as I could. It was not pristine but clear enough so I was able to wash with more detail when I got home.

    Time for KOTT Grills

I just finished up a five day loop around the Great Plains. I stopped in South Dakota and discovered I may need to move KOTT Grills up on my want/need list.

Can Am Accessory Customer Service Experience

I've ordered two things directly from Can-Am/BRP for my 2020 RTL. They were passenger armrests and the auxiliary light. Both times I received the items in good order. Nothing with LED lights or electrical itmes. One thing I did notice was that neither item actually came from BRP, they both...

15 day trip without a hitch

Nothing better than a multi-day trip on the Spyder!

    Spyder service in kansas

Responding mainly to let you know you are not being ignored. However, I live in the Kansas City area so I cannot help on your service question. I get my regular maintenance done locally at Reno's Powersports on the south side of KC. I have been happy with the tech's service and knowledge...

    Highest Attendance Spyder Gathering?

I was traveling through Springfield, MO the other day and reminisced to when Spyderfest was at it's peak. I think that the Owner's Events in the early days were the highest attended Spyder gatherings but when they stopped I imagine it was Spyderfest in Springfield that was the most heavily...

1400 Miles later - EVERYBODY should ride Iron Mountain Highway in South Dakota

I agree with Iron Mountain Road as a must ride while in the Black Hills.

    First Time Passenger

My wife is a passenger 95% of the time. She got her motorcycle lisence primarily to be able to drive the Spyder home if something ever happened to me. She enjoys the backseat but needs to take the handlebars a bit more often.

    Just hit my first dog

Wow, close calls will leave the heart racing. Glad you are ok and got back on the Spyder.

What's the best TPMS to use on a 2021 Spyder?

A word of caution on the FOBO 2 on a 2020 Spyder. I don't know if 2021 model year kept the same tire rim. This is from Lamonster's website: These will not work on the BRP Shamrock wheels with out changing the valve stem (Stock stem is too short for Fobo). My 2020 has the shamrock rims. I...

Any options to get a USB Outlet For Passenger?

I did what Timmb mentions. I bought a cup holder that included a USB port. Take the passenger backrest off to make it easier to work the charging cable to the trunk. Drill and dremel a hole near the hinge and it's done!

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

So, I can't say that you should plan a thousand mile trip out to Kansas just to see the Flint Hills but I would highly recommend it if you are "passing through". Don't believe all the "Fly over country" comments you here about the Great Plains States. Here is one more photo of a burning field...

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

The drive itself is about 48 miles with Council Grove at the northern end and Cassoday at the southern end. Outside Cassoday is a terminal for the Kansas Turnpike (I-35). We jumped on the Turnpike to head back to Kansas City. You will see great views of the Flint Hills from the Turnpike...

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

The best time to drive the Flint hills is in the late summer or early fall when the grasses are mature but the springtime holds its own due to the range fires. I was shocked when I first moved out here in 1975 to find out that ranchers purposefully set fire to their land. Springtime is the...

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

The stop we made on the drive is the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Notice it is not a park or monument but a preserve. There is no fee to enter but cars cannot drive into the preserve. There is a 80 head herd of Bison that roam the preserve. I was not up for the walk but there are...

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

Heading out of Council Grove on Kansas 177 which begins the Flint Hills Scenic Byway, I did a double take. I turned around to look at this small park that had a tree stump under a canopy. Turns out General Custer was here!
