• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I like My New F3T but She Needs Some Improvments!

Don't know - I drove 3 bikes - 2 F3T and 1 F3S and they were all exactly the same! There's not even a shadow of doubt the 3 cyl is twice as noisy as the old motor. With regard to the shifting It's not me - I'm talking about hands off and she's down shifting by herself - sounds like a damn...

I like My New F3T but She Needs Some Improvments!

Hey guys just picked up a F3-T a few days ago and I'm noticing a few things I don't like and never found on my past Spyder's (first release in 2007 and the RTS) I drove 3 different bikes and they all were the same. 1) Seems as if the new 3 cyl engine has a lot of general engine noise (maybe...

Spyder RT & RTS Steering Tuning Tips

Bottom line is; these tuning tips were posted to help out guys with over-steer or over reactive handling problems. If your bike suffers from this problem, if you follow the instructions, you'll have a major improvement in the both safety and handling of your bike. If your bike handles fine...

Spyder RT & RTS Steering Tuning Tips

RT-S Tuning I’ve had my Spyder RS for almost 2 years now and never had a problem with the steering, (other than the steering quits every now and then) it’s always been predictable and easy to steer even in bad weather or in strong winds. However, If you happen to have a RT or RTS you might...

    SE5 Oil Consumption

It's somewhat normal for these thing to use oil. My older Spyder has always used a bit less than 1/2 qt between changes.

RTS Right and Left turn Dissimilar

Appreciate the input really do - but if the alignment is already off, them it doesn't make much difference either way - the bike is unusable the way it is. If you guys are happy steering that thing 100% of the time for every imperfection in the road, or slight wind gust, then great, I own both...

RTS Right and Left turn Dissimilar

I appreciate the input guys - but it's not like I'm going to change anything that is correct or working right. The steering sucks - My 25K bucket of bolts is sitting in the garage and not even worthy of driving to McDonalds. I own a great looking futuristic 3-wheeled roadster that handles worse...

RTS Right and Left turn Dissimilar

Scotty, I mentioned I wanted to loosen the tie rod ends and turn them a 1/4 turn at a time to see what difference it made in the steering. You mentioned I would not be able to do so because the computer must be zeroed out after each adjustment. I've been giving this some thought and regarding...

Thanks Scotty - I'm going to peruse getting the front end re-aligned. This sounds exactly how mine is acting. Thanks

SPYDER RTS STEERING PROBLEM - WARNING!

Well - that just shows I have a problem - so your saying when your going down the road and as the bike hits dips and the body rolls to the right and left there is absolutely no interaction to the steering? If this is the case you might have a special bike. The best way I can explain it is; on...

SPYDER RTS STEERING PROBLEM - WARNING!

Thanks for the replies - however the shock is going to dampen a bump or unevenness in the road and that's not the problem with the RT and RTS. Our problem is the ride is too soft and therefore as you're driving down the road the body is rolling to the right and left with pitches in the road and...

Got her home! Still Some Steering Issues!

Roger that - I was planning on putting it back to the original settings - but I was curious to see just what difference it would make. While not sure- I really think the toe-in/out is set wrong which is causing the erratic steering to the right. The crest in the road you mentioned was not a...

RTS Right and Left turn Dissimilar

I really feel most of the problem is the "softer" ride (which it did not need) this causes the body to roll more with dips and wind gusts therefore changing the pivot distances from the DPS to the linkages which would cause the DPS to over react. I noticed when I drove the standard RT which had...

Got her home! Still Some Steering Issues!

If a guy wanted to do a quick test by marking the tie-rod ends and moving the rod just 1/4 of a turn at a time to see if the steering would improve is that going to work? Thanks

Got her home! Still Some Steering Issues!

in your statement: After any adjustments, the steering sensors must be rezeroed via BUDS. How and where is this done? Thanks!
