• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone mount an Adaptiv TPX on F3-T or L? How did you do it?

Anyone mount a Adaptiv TPX on the F3 T or L and if so how did you do it? On my RS I removed the safety card and replaced it with a piece of aluminum that allowed me to mount the radar above the clocks, however with the F3 that is where the cubby hole for phones is. I'm not a fan of mounting...

Looking at buying Garmin Zumo 660, 590, or XT

Its a good lock but it annoys me Garmin don't have one as standard on their motorbike GPS's. Particularly as the price for that lock here would be around $300 to $400 once you add shipping, duty, etc (hence why I just have a bag of zip ties)

Looking at buying Garmin Zumo 660, 590, or XT

I have a 590 (there is the newer 595 but the differences are minor). Pro's Icons and text are big, clear and easy to read even when riding Interface design is great and easy to operate even with gloves on, even when riding its easy to alter zoom etc without being distracted. If positioned...

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I think the problem here is BRP having to apply logic based on merging the safety legislation of every country they sell to:-) As evidence the stupidly large indicators they had to fit RS's for the New Zealand market, or the huge back lights for the Australian market. Both just to meet local...

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

On my RS - rear fender, as the struts will crack sooner or later and it will fall off anyway On my F3-T - I was going to say cruise control, but having done 500km on a straight and boring highway yesterday I've changed my mind. Apparently it has a radio/speakers but I've never turned them on.

    Lamont's new belt tensioner

I used to keep my belt at the right tension but found I still got vibration starting at around 5k revs on my RS2011 that seemed to be coming from the belt. Getting a ( in my case Smooth Spyder) belt tensioner fixed the issue.

Yet another hand brake thread, hopefully with a new twist

I did the DIY handbrake conversion on my RS2011 (same approach as @Terraplane8Bob) and it worked very well. I briefly considered the ISCI system before going down the DIY route . The cost here of the ISCI system was stupidly high (3x US pricing once shipping, taxes etc). What I like about...

    Inflation $$$$$$$

I traded it and the dealer offered me well above what I thought it was worth. In fact when I told them what I wanted for it they said "that's too low" and offered me more. After servicing etc they then increased the price , as you'd expect, and it sold as soon as they put it up for sale. So...

    Inflation $$$$$$$

My 2011 RS just sold for the same price as I paid for it new, didn't hang around either. I got a good deal at the time but its been well used since so very surprised.

    any trikes with Auto tranny?

Boom trikes have models with full auto. As they are car engined you can get 'flappy paddle' versions which would be similar to the Spyder. We sometimes get together with the local group on rides, as you can see they are more traditional style trikes:

Trying to get License Plate Light for CanAm RSS 2012

I've got the number plate fitting with the license plate light in my shed as I replaced my rear mudguard etc with the tail piece off a motorbike. I'm guessing its the same part as the UK one so if you get really stuck I can post it over. Only issue is that we're currently in level 4 lockdown...

Question for current or past sportbike riders.

The change from bike like the Concours to Spyder is a strange one. The easiest way to describe it is that its like being 16/17 again and learning to ride (or whatever age you started). I actually enjoyed that experience and learning how to control this strange machine. Well I say enjoy, the...

One of them was in the hospital bed beside me when I last came off and broke a few things. Only one of us was able to return to riding.
