• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Review: BRP Go! is going...going...GONE!!

I've tried a couple of times, my biggest gripe is Go can just dump you whenever it feels like. At least that is the way it seems. My phone is a recent model, IOS is up-to-date, and apps are updated, but I will be riding happily along and then silence. Stop, shut down, reboot, and do the...

Android Auto/Apple Carplay standalone mountable display, pretty slick

Uticat - does this unit connect to the bluetooth on the Spyder so the sound comes through the bike speakers? I'm asking because using my phone for maps is getting a little difficult due to the size.

What is the best way of wearing glasses with a modular full face helmet?

I have a pair of sunglasses that are used only with the modular helmet, but that being said, they go on after the helment is on with the chin bar up.

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Unofficially, the "Old Blue Chair." Yes there is a story. Riding buddies giving me good natured grief about switching to 3, calling it my wheel chair. Also, while not a huge Kenny Chesney fan, I like most of his island songs, so it fit, kind of. I wanted my plate to be BLU CHR, but it was too...

How do you explain what riding is like?

I am fortunate that my wife loves to ride with me, but I am the one usually asking her to take a break from the hectic lives we built for ourselves and take a ride. Once out, she enjoys it as much as I do (as long as it is warm enough!). To others, I try to explain it like your favorite song...

    Your First One....

I started on an old Honda 70 or 75 cc dirt bike. Nothing fancy, beat to heck, bought it with paper route money and rode the heck out of it. No kick start lever - it was stripped out so push start every time, I spent a lot of time riding next to the fields around my house on that thing. Next was...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not today, but Friday, I, with the help of my beautiful bride, installed Lamonster's 2" handlebar riser. Then, of course, took it for about 15 mile shakedown. Definately changes your riding posture, I think for the better. Positive so far (for that short ride). After this round of cold breaks...

Has anyone solved the riddle of using Bluetooth and USB charging? BRP Connect...

Find a "data blocker" - it is just a small device you plug in between the USB in the glove box (on my RT-L at least) and the phone you want to use. Then BRP-Go does not recognize the phone, lets it charge, and you can bluetooth the phone to the bike. I think I got two blockers on Amazon for $6...

My New Spyder RT "Sea to Sky"

    Congrats! Love the color.

What's the Best Sounding Exhaust for my RTL?

I second, or third K80's comment. I ran the gamut of aftermarket exhausts. Last being Tri-Ovals on my Victory. We are liking the quiet of the RT-L. One thing I haven't seen talked about on this forum (or at least this thread)- the Victory crowd (and I'm sure other makes as well) on the forums...

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

I called SpyderPops about some lighting and other goodies. As of now, they are NOT plainning to do installs at Deadwood. I was told that they may change their minds though, so keep your ears out.

You're not from Boston, I am and I type the way I talk,

Slice - we toured east in '21, through Massachusettes, we spent some time out by Salem and Cape Cod. Beautiful country out there. YOu can tell I wasn't bon heah, I bought a "Wicked Pissah" sticker and put it on the back of the trailer...... I'm that guy.

    R a i n

I don't like the rain either, I won't go out for a cruise if it is raining, but if we are on a tour, we don't stop because of it. We have some great stories about some trips where we got caught in the rain. Memories........ I've been caught a few times on the Spyder, this thing gets absolutely...

    Shanwn Smoaks had a stroke.

Same here. Consistently two great ambassadors for riders, especially riders interested in our machines.

What's your 2022 RTL getting for gas mileage?

Thanks for the laugh, Slice. I had to clean up a little bit of coffee on that one. Noise - this is the quietest bike I've owned, including engine noise and exhaust. Wind noise at interstate speed is probably more than my previous bikes, but managable. Fuel milage - I start thinking about filling...

BRP response to brake light parts question on our brand new 2023's in BRP PRISON

K80 how right you are! I was one of those waiting last year. Once I started putting on the miles, I forgot (mostly) about the runaround I got from the dealer. It helped that I found a decent dealer that made the sale, and have a decent service department. I called them about the recall, they put...

    Hit a Buck last night...

Good to hear you made it out unscathed and with minimal damage. Though, any damage is disheartening. I've been close to deer, but the only thing I've hit on the bike is a squirrel. Hopefully the parts comein soon and you can get back on the road.

    Shanwn Smoaks had a stroke.

I hope he recovers soon and completely. Shawn was a great influence when I was researching purchasing a Spyder, and continues to be a valued resource.

RT 2010-2019 - When your rear aquaplanes which way does your RT Swing?

I'm relatively new to Spyders, since May of 2022. I have been caught in the rain several times, and I have to agree with Peter. I have had slippage in both directions at speed depending on road conditions, direction of travel, etc. I have also experienced a little straight line slippage in the...
