• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

Our check cleared per our bank statement, I assume that means our registration is golden. I'm hoping for some lighting installs and a handlebar riser during the rally.

    Google maps has failed me.

This may or may not help, but when I plan my rides using Google Maps, I choose waypoints that take me on the routes that I want. It is somewhat of a pain, but it is a viable work around. The only issue is Google limits you to 10 waypoints. For our upcoming PA trip, I've had to find some...

Apple Car Play or Android Auto for Your Spyder

I myself will look into this. I haven't given BRP Go a 100% try to get working, but the effort I have put in this far has not born fruit. Currently, my iPhone is Bluetoothed to the bike, and charging with a data blocker on the glove box cable. I happily use Waze, Apple Maps, and Google Maps for...

What Proof of Extended Warranty did you get?

I received an email from BRP with a contract number. It took a few days (maybe a week) after I paid, but they did send an email. I have it printed out and stored with my registration (not sure if I need that or not, but that is me).

Poconos Trip June 2023 - any must see and do's in the area?

Hi all. With your help, I've put together a route and list of attractions. We have 10 days to get this done, and it totals to about 2,700 + miles total. We have a rough loop from NW PA, across mostly Rt 6 to the Poconos, then south to Valley Forge and Gettysburg, the east across the southern...

What is a good way of Talking To my Passenger - helmets or add-ons?

What Wmoater said. Sena is good, we had them previously. Now we are using Cardo, still on the fence about them, but they work good. Both have intercom, bluetooth, and bike to bike capability.

Thank you Pegasus - I can feel my wallet getting lighter already!

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

So, another round of snow coming here so the bike is still under cover for a few more weeks at least. As I sit thinking about the rally, can anyone give an idea of what vendors have been there in the past (hopefully as an indicator of which might be there this year)? I am already spending money...

Join us on The Great "Sea To Sky Pilgrimage"

Cool trip!! We have two trips planned for this year already, so we can't entertain making the trip with you, but you come close to our neck of the woods. Enjoy that cross country trip, looking forward to pictures!

    What's your helmet of choice?

We wear HJC Modulars with Cardo comms for superslab days and weather (cooler, rain potential, etc) For 2-lane days with lots of stops (think sightseeing, etc) we wear 1/2 helmets.

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

Just got a dusting yesterday and last night. They put so much salt down it's insane - have to wait for a rain to clean it up a little. Mine will be in hibernation for a little bit yet.

    Texting while riding - rant!

I couldn't agree more. When we ride with our friends, we all know that the person in the front is in charge of the ride, but usually only 2-3 other bikes. We trust each other. I like that signature, it made me chuckle.

    Texting while riding - rant!

We have never been comfortable in group rides. One, because we never belonged to a group or club, and so we didn't get the chance to develop with the group. This is a little different than the OP's situation, but relevant, I think. We occasionally do group charity rides (poker runs, etc), we...

    Pix of my Ryker

Looks great! I like the aggressive looks of the Ryker. We just need more space than what it affords. Maybe, one day, there might be one in my garage next to the RT........ probably not, but fun to dream.... Nice ride! Enjoy, might see you around the roads of IL.

Just rode my new 2022 RT home - got a lot to learn!

Congrats! Almost 40 years on 2 wheels for me (I started REALLY young :doorag:) Good advice above, what helped me was loose grip and looking through the corners - I was good at that on 2, but it seems more critical to my style of riding on the Spyder. Make sure the tire pressures are set too...

Radiator Grill Guards install - any easier if shark fins removed first??

I did the Can Am Accessories grills, just because of the color availability. But I did look at the installation instructions for SpyderPops. Looks almost identical. I will say, when you go to fit the grill don't forget the Windex lube on the rubber. That makes it so much easier. That, and no...
