• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

First there have too be morons, that buy electric, to even make the conversion happen.... Me for one, like the burble coming from an exhaust combined with a combustion engine, transition is unavoidable, the whole politics worldwide, are making rumble to change to electricity, all changes are...

Picking Up the spyder today, YAY

Today the Missus, and me took the spyder for a 150 km roundtrip, so we could dial in the preload (hydraulic adjuster), in the rear, took some effort, to find the right setting, but now we can hit a speedbump, over 65 km/h, and still have a safe feeling, all the wheels stay on the ground, and the...

Anyone tried Flasher switch profile enlargement for easier operation?

I don't know, If I am reading this correctly, but can you push a stick?, then the solution could be quit simple, drill a small hole, in the top of the switch, and let someone with a lathe turn you a stick, with some tread at one side, that should allow you to operate the switch, push for right...

How long for break in & what Gas mileage should I expect after?

I really could care less, bout fuelmileage, mpg's or anything else, I bought the Spyder for my pleasure, and if I have to fuel it up once a week, or twice a week, so be it. I go by the words (prayers) of Peter Aawen, Drive more, Worry Less. I work hard, and also play hard.. don't wanna be...

Picking Up the spyder today, YAY

Took the spyder out yesterday, tweaked the new shockers, and am still quite amazed, off what a difference they make, while driving, I thought that the front fox dampeners were quite good, but these are in a whole different ballpark. Steering is improved, by a factor 10, rear smoothness is also...

Anyone using Octane Booster in their Spyder? Pros & Cons?

Whenever I can, I fuel up, with premium (non ethanol gas), but the 1330 engine can cope, with whatever you feed it, It's ecu will reduce power (just a little, hardly noticable), when using a ethanol blended fuel. Personally my experience is, with premium fuel, the spyder performs at it's best.

    Wilber shocks anyone ?

This is the major thing, to get the shocks performing in the best way possible, you can tweak them all day.... and then you have to keep in mind, that overtime they degrade, so you have to start tweaking again... ghegheghe, but that is all in the game of farkling with and on your Spyder. I have...

Grill removal and clean up. Radiators clean.

Those clips, will indeed pry right off, I made a new one from stainless steel, and spraypainted it black. You can buy this in several shapes and sizes (the gaps, I mean), from any good hardwarestore, and if you are a bit handy with the clippers, it's an easy job to do. at first my thoughts were...

Anybody done a Battery re-location on 2011 Spyder?

Are you driving the spyder for short distances? As stated above, use a good battery tender, these creatures are (electrical) power hungry, so you need to drive at least for 25 min to even top up what you used to start the bike. After you shut down your bike, there will be some things that still...

Mix of Flat paint and shiny paint surfaces, what do you clean it with?

There is a very simple solution for this "waterdrops-effect", use osmose water, you don't even need to dry the bike, it will dry without drops, in the link below, the wikipedia explanation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reverse_osmosis But to answer your question, if you clean your bike, and...

Picking Up the spyder today, YAY

Am taking baby steps on these, it's going to take alotta tweaking, but for the first miles, I say WOW, unbelievable, what a difference a good shock absorber makes, with the prelimenay settings provided by Tractive. Me personal thoughts are, a wee bit stiffer on the front end, and the rear, may...
