• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Free dealer oil changes?

"FREE" always catches one's attention. My personal response that NOTHING worth anything is ever free. At an average of $350 cost for "oil change" at my dealer also involves giving the Spyder a visual inspection and physically checking for loose nuts and bolts. I think most if not all dealers are...

    Another car tire thread

I have had 4 Spyders since 2008...a GS SE5, 2010 RT Manual, a 2014 RT SE6 (killed a Javalina with it), and a 2017 F3L (by far the BEST Spyder made. IMO). Total Spyder miles 154,000 + or -. I have read the owners manuals for general knowledge and have never seen where automobile tires cannot be...

Car Sick vs Motorcycle Sick and 2 up

Did you ever think it might be the way you drive, cage or Spyder? Not every woman likes to be a passenger if she feels unsafe, caused by the foolishness of the driver. If you want to act like a Evil Kenevil knock yourself out and do it alone. Or, when she is with you respect her feelings and you...

How do I access the fault codes on my 2017 RTL?

No one can shift into first from neutral without applying the brakes. That has been a feature of the Spyders since 2008.

    Done with Spyder

Me thinks, you have a vacuum line with a leak. Hardest thing to find. My second Spyder, 2010 RT spent a month and a half in the shop. I told the shop to work on it when he could. HE was ready to set it on fire before he thought of a possible vacuum line leak. Changed the line, Bingo.

Have you tried looking in your tool kit that came with the bike? I replaced the stock for an F4 with the tools available in the kit.

Rolling in Neutral down my driveway

She has a 2017F3L. The first oil change is 3000 miles, next after another 9300 miles...total miles reading on the odometer 12,300. MsPolly, how you maintain your Spyder is your decision to make. My 2017F3L is my 4th Spyder, starting with a 2008 GS. I have 7600 miles on mine and the next...

    F3L with F4 windshield question.

Did you not research before you bought it? Plenty of pictures on the Internet. I have one for my F3L 2017, drive to work everyday it doesn't rain or snow...in winter some mornings in the low 30s. I have no complaints about cold hands with my winter gloves Not electric gloves. My hands feel...

    F3-T "Glovebox" Problem

On my F3L there is a metal bobby-pin like invention used to hold the lid shut. The pin slides forward, causing it to lose any give to allow an easy pull release. I use a screw driver to pull the pin backwards. I did this as a quick fix, but will take time soon to try and fix it for permanent use.

Where did all my oil go?

How many of you check the oil in your car or truck? The F3 engine is not one to use oil. Over the years on FB I have read so many posts of people checking their oil after they changed it. Did you put the right amount? Then why do you check it? What do you expect to find? Seems like a lot...

I need a little help starting my Spyder this morning please

I have had 3 Spyders with the SE transmission. How do you leave your parking brake off when you park it? Mine have always had a loud beeper that beeped until the brake was in park. Did you disengage the safety feature? If you did, someone can just roll your Spyder into a convenient trailer...

NEED OIL CHANGE IN LAS VEGAS

Why change the oil on a trip? The Spyder doesn't know how many miles since last oil change. With today's oil technology, you're good for 5,000 miles passed the the oil change mileage. I would not worry about it. But then I am not you, so do what you feel is good for your Spyder. Just MHO.

    1st 600 miles service

Looks like you were misinformed (lied to) if you were told 600 miles. That's why it's good to read the manual. First service is 3000 miles and next service at 12,300 miles and every 9300 miles thereafter. If done properly the first service is labor-time intense. If they told you 600 miles...

Lamonster Approved Air Pack (silver) not working....

"Lamonster Approved". My suggestion, call Lamonster and talk to him. He sells it, he may be able to help you solve this. Going to his sight won't help. When I first read your post it sounded like you were in a subtle way trashing Lamont without trying to resolve your problem with Lamont with...

How Far on a Tank of Gas

2017 F3L. Nice to hear all the extremely high MPG results. I pushed our 2008 GS one time and ran out of gas. Had to wait an hour for gas. Never again. I fuel up around 140-150, depending an density of gas stations down the road, but I never fill passed the nozzle stopping on it's own. So...

I doubt if this will do any good

Humor me please. Has anyone Googled the codes? What did you find. Not just for a Spyder, just Google the code!
