• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 Deadwood 3 Wheeler Rally - New Site & Registration open!

Acdcking12 the secret is to travel early in the mornings when it is cool. Take several days to get to Deadwood. Once in the Black Hills daytime temps are in the 70’s and 80’s and night temps are in the 40’s and 50’s. The three wheel rally is a lot of fun.

Anyone else found an RT without the wire for lower front Auxiliary light?

Shouldn’t your friend request the BRP factory to ship the switch, wiring harness and pax grips to your dealer and install at no charge? Seems to me those items were paid for when your friend bought the Spyder.

What needs adjusting to improve Rear seat release? How do I get to it?

The only way that my rear seat will release is by pushing it down as I turn the key. Try that.

2012 RT with check engine but no codes, any ideas?

It is possible that the rubber hoses on the left side of your engine might have cracks in them. Many riders switch to silicone hoses which can be bought at NAPA.

Dead battery - Thanks to all who helped; I made it Home!

The 2012 Spyder must have the battery that mounts on the left side. I understand it can be a bear to get out.

Hello group - Here is my new to me 2011 RT!

With a Spyder with that low mileage and 12 years old I would contact a dealer with the VIN to see what maintenance and/or recalls have been done. If original 12 year old tires I would change them. Also consider coolant, brake fluid and oil changes. Check age of battery, too. Go over it with...

Anyone else got this Rattling noise - know what the issue is?

If this has been going on since you bought it, it is probably normal.

Now No Reverse! Just got my Spyder back after recall OK yesterday - Ideas?

I could not shift out of neutral. Both times the dealer replaced the switch. The left hand control unit was not affected.

Now No Reverse! Just got my Spyder back after recall OK yesterday - Ideas?

I have had my reverse actuator switch replaced twice. There was no damage to the bracket either time. Bad luck I guess!

    Will a 2020 F3L have BRP Connect?

I may be purchasing a 2020 F3L and was wondering if it has BRP Connect? Or did BRP Connect appear in the 2021 model year?

The life that some will not understand

My wife bought a sign at a thrift store a few years ago and gave it to me. It says: You Never See A Motorcycle (Spyder to Us) Parked Outside A Psychiatrist’s Office. Non motorcycle people just don’t understand.

$10k Question - which bike would you choose?

Thanks for the positive feedback Wooodaddict. People that are not familiar with the 1330 engine don’t understand that these engines can easily go 200,000 with proper maintenance. Most of my miles are highway miles which are easier on the engine than city miles.

How many miles on your current Spyder?

2015 F3S bought new in Jan. of ‘16. Turned over 77,000 miles today. I never trailer it anywhere. The 1330 engines should get 200,000 miles with proper maintenance.

Any Tips for reducing road trip costs?

Many mom and pop motels are much less expensive that the national and regional chains and some are quite nice. I use Google search to find all motels in a certain city and then check prices. Most places that I stay in are under $100 per night.

Rear ended on the way to OC bike fest

I don’t know your situation if your brake lights flash when you press on the brake and it may not have prevented the accident anyway. But I have a brake light flasher on my taillights and also a Brake Free light on the back of my helmet that flashes when I slow down or press on the brake. I...

Went To Church in our New Car!

Ron when I was growing up my mom and dad owned a 1952 4 door Plymouth Belvedere, the year I was born. It had a three speed shifter on the steering column. This is the car my brother and I learned to drive at my dad’s farm when we were about 11 or 12 years old. The photo of your Plymouth...

2023 RT won’t shift to 1st fm Neutral when warm, intermittently - anyone else?

I own a 2015 F3-S and have had my reverse actuator switch replaced twice. Once was under the OEM warranty and the second time was the extended warranty. Your problem sounds familiar.

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

I have a ‘15 F3-S with 76,000 miles. Has been trouble free except for the front sprocket which has since been replaced with the “new” sprocket. Never a DESS issue. I plan on riding it until at least 100,000 miles before I decide to sell or trade. I would be cautious about the ‘17 F3L with...

Shout out to Rice Motor Sports, Spearfish SD

I have not needed them while at the 3 wheel rally but a buddy of mine did need them one year. They got him right in and got him back on the road in a few hours. I think there is also a dealer in Rapid City. One drawback to BRP is that their dealers are few and far between.
