• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

Thank you sir, I wrote my note backwards didn't I. This chart illustrates (to me anyway) the theory that the rpm range of 3200-3500 moved down into the speed of 65-70 mph in 6th gear, where with the smaller tire that rpm range would be found at a higher speed where most people aren't typically...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

We had the Altimax installed, but my impression is that it is not a problem with the tire per se so much as the tire size. Ours is 215/60 R15, which is smaller in diameter than the OEM Kenda, and further feel that the source of the vibration is in the load vs RPM range. That said, belt tension...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

If it truly were that SIMPLE then the problem would have gone away after the belt vibration DAMPER was replaced with the Lamonster version. The cause of your vibration was obviously different than what most everyone else is reporting here.

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

Honestly, I don't know if there's any difference in length or spring tension. I think the biggest difference between them is the bearing. The guys at the shop mentioned that Lamonster had his designed with a more resilient bearing that could be replaced independent of the assembly, saving user...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You guys are gonna crush the grandparent gig with your 2yo granddaughter. When our grandson spent the night for the first time he wore us out with his energy. The 2nd time he came over we split the watch duties! Lol

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

My theory is that the vibration potential has always been there, and it would be somewhat easy for other riders who still have the OEM size rear tire to confirm (assuming that everyone is riding with their belt tension set to MFR specs). If they were to duplicate the riding conditions, maintain...

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

I'm still thinking that this isn't so much the tension as it is the rpm range that we're driving in.

    How Do You Ride?

Don't have a lot of Interstate experience on the Spyder, but when we travel on one, I usually maintain about 5 MPH higher than the speed limit.

I’m getting frustrated with the belt vibration - any ideas to help?

During our ride from Greenville, TN to Piney Flats, TN a couple of weeks ago after the tires had been replaced by the guys at BajaRon’s shop, we experienced an unexpected vibration while climbing a hill at 72 mph. It wasn’t coming from the tires or suspension, but instead felt like the drive...
