• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ever heard of TELLO cell phone service?

Finally got released from Verizon a few days ago and so far it works great. As good, in some areas better, than Verizon. Too early to tell as I'm not traveling much this time of year.

Ever heard of TELLO cell phone service?

Thanks Randy, I'm going to give it a try. Heck, for $10 a month, no contract, not much to lose if I don't like it. If only I can figure how to get released from Verizon! LOL

Ever heard of TELLO cell phone service?

Thinking of trying something less expensive than Verizon and one service I came across is Tello. They ride on T-Mobile system. Anyone know anything about Tello?

Whoops I did it again! Got an M109 for the times that I still like to ride 2 wheels!

Nice. Looks like just rolled off show room floor. Might see you riding around Salisbury one of these days. Whoops, I see you are in Wake county; was thinking it was Rowan. All the same, enjoy.

    Oil analysis @ 3 years & 9500 miles.

Idaho: Thanks for posting. Amsoil is a good product and can always be relied on. Your report confirms that in spades. The viscosity of the oil, at 13.6, was still in the 40W range so it had sheared very little. https://bobistheoilguy.com/viscosity-charts/

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Put two Kenda Kanine's on the extra set of silver colored wheels I bought for my '22 RT. It came with black wheels and I wanted something different. Small local shop mounted and balanced them both for $30. Each wheel took one weight. Have only ridden the bike about 50 miles so there's not...

    Odometer Won't Clock/Turn Over - any thoughts?

On a ride this morning I noticed the odometer lacked about 150 miles before turning over to 10K. On way home his afternoon, about 10 miles from home, I noticed it was reading 9999.9 so I watched it frequently, wanting to see it clock over, but it never did. Sitting in shed now with 9999.9...

Looking for a quick release strap for a modular helmet - any ideas?

I've used several of these over the year. Given enough use the male end might eventually break and need replacement. Have them on two helmets I currently use most.

RT Base, pump-up suspension, how often?

I am using one of these. Had to remove the valve stem of the oem and it works fine. Just lays under the seat...

Was this a Fuel Indicator Reserve Notification?

Frank, same with my '22 RT. After 33 it dropped off to ---. This has occurred several times and after 6-8 miles its always around 5.7 to 5.9 max fill up. I found the info interesting about keeping the pump that is in the bottom of the tank covered with gas in order not to overheat it...

What's the general opinion - Wax or Ceramic on your Spyder?

Turtle Wax brand Ceramic is popular on car forums. I've used it for several years on bikes and cars. Make sure it says it can be used on plastic & rubber trim without whitening. Edited: I'm wrong, this is what I use...

Any advice on side luggage compartments that won't open?

On '20-up, lay down on floor, look up under towards front of bag and you will see the cable adjuster. Loosen tiny lock nut, screw adjusting nut one way or another until your lid opens when you pull the latch.

We talked about a new rear tire for me. I bought one. But is this typical of Kendas?

One thing never talked about much is which tires provide the softer ride. Some of us prefer a softer ride over long wear. I've tried several car tires, front and rear, diff Can Am's, and for me, there's no question but they ride stiffer.

My RT622 with Class 1 cooler basket on the rear of the trailer!

Several years ago I mounted a heavy duty plastic box on aluminum frame I made for a trailer hitch on my '14 RT to haul some light stuff to a Rally. Two hundred miles and vibration has started loosening bolts. Couple more hundred and plastic box had lost lid and began cracking. Needless to say...

Will RonBar help with Drifting on Secondary Roads with Crowns?

Threewheels; I've not come to any decision yet. I plan on going to Maggie Valley Rally in Oct and if they are being installed there, I might have one put on just for heck of it. Either it helps or it doesn't. Appreciate all the replies from everyone.
