• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Disabled the analogue gauges & want to replace with other gauges instead - Suggestions please?

Thanks Gwolf, I actually saw these and like them but 62 bucks for a clock seemed like more than I thought I’d have to pay but maybe this is just the simplest way to go.

Black Friday Deals - Please Post on this thread

Given I’m starting to resemble a bowling pin with legs more and more these days maybe these under armor pants are the way to go.

What will you have for Thanksgiving Dinner?

I can tell you what I’m having AFTER Thanksgiving dinner, INDIGESTION! I did well moderating the main course intake but totally blew it on desert. I didn’t want to offend anyone who made the pumpkin cheesecake pie, the razzleberry pie, the mint chocolate chip on Oreo crust pie, and the plain...

    The best method?

My wife has been using the parchment method for a decade now and once you get the timing down so the bacon cooks the way you like it it’s pretty foolproof. Main advantage over skillet is no grease splatter so clean up is pretty easy.

WARNING FOR ALL RT OWNERS * You may want to check this on your machine

21,000 miles and mine is fine. Guy who sold me the bike warned me to not leave it lowered or raised all the way though and I think that's in one of the new owner stickies too.

Disabled the analogue gauges & want to replace with other gauges instead - Suggestions please?

Ok giving this a pre xmas bump for additional help. I've decided that I want to put a USB/volt meter combo where the analog fuel gauge is and a clock where the temp gauge is. For those that have done it, any suggestions or how did you do it? I can find 1 inch USB/Volt combos that are meant...

    Happy Turkey Day!

On behalf of the mods we want to wish everyone who make this such a great place (that's all of you) a great holiday no matter how you are celebrating it. Safe travels to those of you putting some miles under your tires to get where you are going, and eat until you can eat no more!

    Flag etiquette???

This matches Boy Scout posting of the colors also. I gotta admit whenever my Scouts lead the flag raising ceremony at Camp Wolfeboro and they get the steps right and it’s crisp and precise, and they really nail it, I feel pretty damn proud. Ok, that was WAAAY off topic, sorry.

    Apology

Just to add a bit, the reason you won't find the language that worked around the rules is because the post itself has been edited.

    Apology

Warnings were given, apologies were made and threads were edited. I’d say we covered what is necessary here so thread will be closed. If there’s anything else to be taken care of please do it via pm. Thanks, LC

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I gave mine dirty looks while I was doing yard work and it was relaxing in the garage instead of taking me for a ride. I’m planning my revenge for next weekend

    Used Spyders

I would be more concerned about the repair and maintenance history. Have a dealer run the VIN. Then is the bike priced appropriately given the model and mileage.

    Poll on navigation preferences

I'll start with Google earth or Google maps to get a better idea of route availability. I will try, with mixed success sometimes, to use Basecamp then transfer to the Zumo. Like to have waze as a backup but if there is no signal it's not a lot of help. I'll usually have a paper backup.
