• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it usual BRP pushes ordering their products so much?

Yes, although BRP does not (last time I looked) have pure synthetic; and BRP - XPS 5W40 synthetic blend is only rated to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore riders in the Southwest USA, Australia and other high temperature regions, may require a more suitable oil. At about 1200 miles I switched...

Why are so many not using Daytime Driving Lights?

Surprised your bike needed to be started, rather than just key on. Other than mirrors (CA Vehicle Code 26709) required since 1959, most California motorcycle equipment laws were enacted after I started riding on the street in 1963: Taillight must remain illuminated for at least 15 minutes...

    Shifting problem - SE6 won't select N without using R button! Ideas?

Being CANBus, probably difficult to work around a faulty unit.

Why are so many not using Daytime Driving Lights?

Yes, and lights on, no gauges = taillight fuse blown.

Why are so many not using Daytime Driving Lights?

Is there an interesting incident behind this? In Las Vegas, the issue is vehicles without lights at night!

    2022 Ryker Hub Threading REVERSED

And for those not familiar with Sportsters, the drive belt is on the right side...not as easy to access under the mufflers, but for flat-tracking, less dirt to accumulate for all left hand turns.

I have a few Ryker Questions before I purchase.

Belt drive did not prevent me from taking my Sportsters on dirt roads, such as fire roads, but with care in gravel sections. But even with the rally and 400 mm front shocks, it is not an off-road vehicle. It would do fine on sections like this: But clearance and traction would be an issue...

I have a few Ryker Questions before I purchase.

I test rode a new (off the show room floor) a 600 while the dealer was assembling my 900. I did not want to push a new motor, but it did 70 on the Las Vegas 215 belt way effortlessly. So, a top end of 90 quite likely. The advantage of the 900 is high speed passing and pulling a 6% grade 600 or...

What are the specs for the 900 ACE? Is it the base for the turbo 900 on sleds?

Definitely, as adjusting valves on my CB1100 or Steet Twin is a major project. At the end of this year, when the Street Twin has ~6 months of 2 year warranty left and probably 14K miles, I am planning on trading it for a new Yamaha XT250. It will still allow me freedom, at age 76+ and one of...

What are the specs for the 900 ACE? Is it the base for the turbo 900 on sleds?

Thanks, Chris 900 ACE for road is page 3 HP is less than BRP advertised for 2020 Ryker (82 HP @ 8,000 RPM) Be very interesting to know internal differences between marine, snow and road.

What are the specs for the 900 ACE? Is it the base for the turbo 900 on sleds?

Rotax is very well built, but if, due to the CVT, high speed cruising RPMs are 7,000 versus 4,500, the Rotax is going to turn the same total number of revolutions in 6 years as a motor turning 4500 RPMs will turn in 10 years. Or, in terms of mileage, 60,000 miles versus 100,000 miles. As a...

2012 RT sat for a while now it won't start

Good suggestions from Bfromla, Little Blue and Mikey regarding air box, whether a rodent nest, clogged air filter, etc. Then if it fires with starting fluid, it is a fuel issue. If not, then Mikey's suggestion regarding checking for spark would be the next simple diagnostic.
