• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Potentially Inflammatory: Why vests?

Some motor cycle gangs wear vests with their club (?) name on the back, like the Mongols. In fact I had an encounter with them today, I was in the left lane keeping up with traffic when I noticed some motorcycles coming up at me a a high rate of speed. I pulled into the right lane to let the...

Oklahoma Motorcycle Test is very biased towards 2 wheeled motorcycles

I am in the process of moving from Colorado to Oklahoma. I will have to take their motorcycle test after I get there. I decided to review the test for the motorcycle to ensure that I can pass it. It has been WAY over 60 years since I rode a 2-wheel cycle, so I have forgotten a lot. Most of...

    Downshifting vs Braking

I have a module on my Spyder that will flash the brake light 4 times then go solid red when I apply the brake. I normally attempt to coast up to a stop, first taping the brake, then a combination of letting the engine downshift and using the brake. The tapping of the brake also will take the...

4 PSI question for our experts

Thanks for all the opinions and info. Ron, the handle "Seaweed" was obtained many years ago while in the service. When I joined this Forum, I used that handle. Strange, you are the first to question the relation of Seaweed and Colorado. I guess that I was over thinking the PSI issue. But I...

4 PSI question for our experts

Lately my rydes have been 20 to 50 miles with temperatures of mid to upper 60's. I set my pressures at a tad under 20 PSI for front and under 28 PSI for rear tire. Yes, unfortunately I have Kenda tires. I will be taking several 300 plus mile rydes with temperatures of low 50* F. Should I...

What would cause this issue with shifting on a '21 RT?

A different take on the question.... Mosess stated "Hi all, a friends RT shifts down at speed, but not with the paddles. The oil has been changed and the bike runs fine. Any advice on what's the possible cause? Thank you. " I think he meant that it down shifts at a while traveling at a normal...
