• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cleaning the gauge lens cover

Any suggestions on the proper way to clean the outside of the gauge cluster lens without scratching the heck out of it? When the sun from behind me hits the lens cover dead on, it totally becomes very hazy due to hundreds of acquired micro-scratches all over the outside face of it. I have...

    Parking

Guess it depends on the kind of business establishment that it is. There is a popular biker hangout where I live that has a rear bar and outdoor seating area. The sign says “Motorcycle Parking Only”, but I doubt that my Spyder or myself would be welcome there..............:lecturef_smilie:

Mirror removal on 2013 ST limited

When you pop those two bottom pins loose, you have a very small angle of tilt available in order to slide the top pin upward and out of its slot. The top slot has three plastic tabs forming a “U” shape. They will break very easily if you pull the lower portion of the mirror too far away from...

ST-S - broke the mirror mount - any easy fixes?

I have had to replace both sides at least once each. That plastic bracket is the weak point of the mirror attachment system. While the two lowest pins snap into their respective holes with the help of two metal “clips”, the top slot is all plastic and consists of only 3 small tabs. Doesn’t take...

    Rear Fender Removal

If I recall correctly, there are two small studs that are attached to the back of the license plate unit. removing those two small nuts should allow it to come free. I also recollect that the wiring harness for the license plate light is very short and does not give you much room to splice in...

    Rear Fender Removal

I am looking at my ST right now. There are 4 bolts on the fender itself. 2 more on the license plate bracket and two more behind the tail reflector assembly. I recall the job being a PITA.

    My Spyder hauler

I did some more extensive testing today weighing and moving things around a bit. I was able to move the bike back on the trailer 8-1/2inches from its original position without any risk to the rear coming into contact with the closed tailgate. I successfully lowered the tongue weight by about...

    My Spyder hauler

I probably already know the answer to this question, however, here goes. If one removed the Spyder’s windshield and loaded it into the trailer rear first, what would be the most serious side effects of such a stunt? The reason for this question is that, after having arrived in FL yesterday, I...

    Unknown Rocker Switch Terminal Connector

Before I installed my heated grips, I had previously and successfully used the wire harness in the nbr 2 position to power a USB and 12 volt accessory port. I have since moved them to the nbr 4 connector, which powers the fog lights, since the power draw of the USB/12 volt port is so tiny that...
