• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a brake light recall now?

I'm not sure what the national and local laws would state on the matter - but fact is - BRP classified it as a "Safety Recall" not a TSB. As such - from a liability standpoint - they will not sell/release any machines under a safety recall. They won't risk being sued. So even if it is just a...

Is there a brake light recall now?

Assuming your Spyder is registered with Canam as you being the owner (if you bought it new it certainly should be) you SHOULD get a mailer. Should and do are not always the same though. On the link I posted earlier in the thread - you can put in your VIN number to see if your machine is...

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

Don may have an over generalization - but it's a generalization based on some facts and one I agree with. Absolutely there are some out there that are babying their garage queen they don't want to put any miles on and I wonder why they bought it to begin with - but many others sit with no...

Is there a brake light recall now?

Well don’t I have egg on my face. You are correct - I posted in a hurry and only glanced the headline on the Recall page - I didn’t open it. My bad for posting incorrect information. That’s why I say you should check the source. LOL!

Is there a brake light recall now?

The Brake Light Recall is both the Spyder and the Ryker. The 2022 Base F3 and F3S are also on stop sell/recall due to mirrors possibly falling off. Ugh! When in doubt - check the source. ;-) - https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/owner-zone/safety-recalls.html

My instrument cluster died, Spyder starts & runs - any ideas?

Do you use a battery tender? When the bike started, did it struggle at all? Spyders are extremely temperamental to voltage. If the battery is low, or a cable is lose it can cause all sorts of annoyances. Also, you mentioned unseating the dash plug and reseating which leads me to assume you...

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

That low of miles means it's sat a lot. Also - unless documented otherwise - assume it's had only 1 if that "service." Recommended Oil Change is at least once a year or 9300 miles (after the first service). Again, that low of miles means original tires likely - think about them being 8+ years...

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

2015 F3 and F3S share the same "sport" rear sprocket. (Only 2 F3 Models made) 2016 F3, F3S, F3T, F3L share the same "sport" rear sprocket. (All F3 Models made) 2017+ - F3T/L got the "touring" sprocket that is on the RT. F3S kept the "sport" sprocket. I'm not sure on the Base F3 but think it's...

Anyone with DESS removed/disabled on a 2022 RT?

Are you having issues with it? Just curious why you are wanting to disable it.

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

53k and rising on my 2015 F3S. Only issue is the DESS which I'm disabling through BUDS. They haven't changed anything significant with the F3 Lineup through the years. The 20+ F3 models are not under the sprocket recall - but it's still undetermined as to why - since they have the same...

Anyone with DESS removed/disabled on a 2022 RT?

Will be interested to see if anyone chimes in and says yes. I've not heard of anyone removing DESS on one that new. For what it's worth - you don't actually remove the DESS, you go into BUDS with a Megatech License and disable it.

    Adding Comms to modular helmet

You can use an adhesive mount or even the clip on mount slide between the outer shell and inner shell - put it just behind where the flip up is so the flip up doesn't interfere. I use a boom Mic held in place between the cheek pad and inner shell. This allows the mic to still work open or...

Just a silly question - do all F3's have Cruise &/or BRP Go?

Not sure what you are basing your info on - but the F3S (Sport Model) does come with Cruise Control (all years). I was incorrect in my post above (editing next) though - in that there was at last 1 year maybe 2 - (2018 for sure) when the new dash was in the F3T and F3L but not the F3S but by...

Just a silly question - do all F3's have Cruise &/or BRP Go?

The only F3 Model that didn't come standard with Cruise was the was the Base Model. F3 - No cruise standard. F3S - Cruise F3T - Cruise F3L - Cruise All years apply above. In 2016 the F3L didn't come with a trunk. Starting in 2017 - all F3L came with a trunk. Oddly enough - in 2016 the F3T had...

2023 Ryker 900 - anyone done any long trips?

When BRP designed the Ryker they wanted a lower cost machine to attract folks to 3 wheels. it was never designed or marketed to be a Spyder replacement for folks that already have a Spyder. It's like the Sportster of the 3 wheel world. So many current Spyder owners rail on the Ryker and...

2023 Ryker 900 - anyone done any long trips?

I own an F3S myself - but I work on the Spyders and Rykers as a hobby gig. I have a buddy who has tour outfitted his Ryker. the Ultimate seat is expensive but totally worth it on the Ryker for better 2 up comfort. Lamonster sells a nice 3 piece luggage kit different than Slingmods one. Both...

is this one of my oil drain plugs?

Not to nitpick but to give accurate information - stock plugs are 6mm Allen and 45 Torx. Many Shade Trees or do it yourselfers have mixed things up and stripped the original stock ones (or over tightened them/etc) - so folks like Lamonster and others came out with the socket versions to replace...

is this one of my oil drain plugs?

I'm assuming that's on the right side of the bike near the floorboard/Peg area? Yes, not stock - it's been replaced - but it's 1 of the 2 oil drain plugs. That one is the more "Basic" looking plug - the other one is in up at an angle and much longer with 2 gaskets on it.

I saw this model trike toy on Amazon - similar to an F3

Link no longer resolves. I had added it to my wish list - and it's still in the list - but when I click on it there it also does not resolve. Bummer.
