• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for suggestions on where you mounted your Ram ball on 2020+ RT

Right smack in the middle of the bars is my preferred option. https://www.lamonstergarage.com/lamonster-ram-mount-for-2-0-f3-rt-all-options-can-am-spyder-motorcycle/

    New from tackform dave

Dave, have you had any customers complaining of phone camera issues? I used a Tackform like (granted not a tack form) mount on my F3S and after a 7700 mile in 15 day trip last year - I killed my iPhone 11 Camera Focus which is a known problem with certain motorcycles/vibrations. Oddly - I had...

    F3S vs F3T Rear Shock Comparison ??

I'm incorrect - you are right - the F3T from 2016 up did have the "air"shock - but not the onboard air compressor. It was manual fill through schrader valve.

Front Sprocket Recall - Dealer Won't Release Spyder to Owner

I know some folks were taking their Spyder in for the "recall check" and their pulley failed the inspection. They were then being told they couldn't ride until the new option was ready. Sounds like this might be the case here. May not be the case - but just a plausible reason for this. It...

Is trailer with swivel 1-7/8 coupler ok for spyder?

You hit the common statement - if the trailer hits a hole/roadkill/etc - it might roll easier - but honestly - I don't see it as a risk. Frankly the same risk applies to a motorcycle towing the swiviel hitch but the benefits of greater lean angles (on some setups) is why people like them. The...

    F3S vs F3T Rear Shock Comparison ??

The Year you are talking about may factor in - but early years for sure - the F3S and the F3T were not the same rear shock. Also, the F3S only had Fox up front. The rear F3S and Base F3 Spring (for certain on the early years (2015-2017 - don't know about newer) was sub par. It was not meant...

What BUDS do I need to buy for my 2014 RTS?

There is a group on FB for support for the BUDS and the Moderator in there Joshua Ramsey sells the software and MPI cable. I'm not sure what his affiliation is but the 10 year license and cable was cheaper through him than anywhere else I had seen it. He occasionally sells refurbed tablets...

How can I remove Front Fender Marker/Signal Lights without breaking?

Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. On the 1 piece fenders which you have - after you remove the screws which it sounds like you saw/did then you carefully bend down on the front of the fender and push from underneath the front of the light upward and outward to pop it lose. Hopefully this...

Is this the correct Colored panel fastener?

That's the correct part - but that's a ridiculous price. I usually pick them up 10 at a time from the dealer for like $1.50 a piece. I have a LOT of Rykers that roll through my shop with those broken. In fact I carry a couple in my Spyder for when I'm out and about and see a Ryker with a...

What BUDS do I need to buy for my 2014 RTS?

I would qualify this statement slightly. A "Windows Capable" machine. Tablets work great if they have the required RAM and I'm actually running it on a Mac but using Bootcamp with Windows loaded. I just point this out in case someone already has something that might work so they don't have to...

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

I think the big thing is "IF" those fail. The only electronic component on the F3 lineup with a greater than average failure rate that I'm aware is the DESS module. I did replace mine on my 2015 - $150 and easy DIY repair. That said, now that I have BUDS, I'm going to just disable the DESS...

Limp Home Mode on Start-up - is this normal??

No - at least it didn't use to. It was only visible if there was an active fault code. Maybe that changed with an update or on the newest models - but I'm not aware of that. Same thing on the Rykers - only shows when an active Fault exists.

Limp Home Mode on Start-up - is this normal??

If you aren't seeing "Fault Codes" I'm assuming you also presently aren't displaying "Limp Home". When the "Limp Home is displayed and the Engine Icon is blinking - that's when the "Fault Codes" option should appear in the Settings. Based on all the information in this thread I, personally...

Limp Home Mode on Start-up - is this normal??

Remember - the "Fault Codes" option will not appear if there is no active fault code.

Anyone running or tried BUDS on MacBook (Pro)?

I can't speak to EaseUS or using a bootable USB - but I have a 2015 MacBook Pro with a smaller hard drive running Bootcamp and a Windows 10 install on the minimum size HD space needed. When I need BUDS I just restart in Windows - run the BUDS (which is slow due to the older MacBook Pro) and...

Limp Home Mode on Start-up - is this normal??

Any time you get a Check Engine Light or Limp Mode - there should be an associated Letter and 4 Digit Fault code. Go through your settings (on the new dash bikes) to the "Fault Codes" option - it won't appear if there is no active code. If you can share with us the exact code that it is...

Diesel engine oil in a gasoline engine? Check here.

Not everyone rides from their garage to their garage. And yes, I do realize that once at operating temp - it will take quite a while for the oil temp to drop all the way back down to ambient temp. Just saying - that it could be that cold when the engine starts. Yes, I do realize it's an odd...

Diesel engine oil in a gasoline engine? Check here.

I realize that I'm an odd duck and not the norm - but I have ridden in -13F. Not sure I'd like to be on the fringe of 15w. ;-) I'm quite happy with the 5W40 recommended by BRP (though I do use T6 LOL!).

Where is everyone getting SE5 Oil Filter and Oil these days?

Oil Filter/crush washers/o-rings from Bajaron or Lamonster - and Rotella T6 5w40 - less than half the cost of the BRP kit.
